i think it can be high light or low co2 i mean not diffused properly in water.
try few things add good reactor reduce light time to 7hrs and try spot treatment with h2o2 |

28 is a temperature not favarouble for c.moss to grow or but it will survive or grow much slower.
as suggested by Seetharam there is imbalance in light out put and co2 and moss in such condition is the easy target
does moss anchored on same driftwood with algae |

28 is th maximum , its mostly 25or26, the moss is growing well i prune it every month the moss is well attached to the wood i see the hair algae on the moss, brush algae on the wood and on ferns and bolbitis heudelotii , glasso and marcelia |

change the lights in my opinion and also the mode of diffusing co2

i also haveing same question u useing chiller or a/c bcz i haveing in my room but it big hall running it for 7-8hrs but still my tank temp is 27.7 to 28.7 :(
due to that moss getting black  |
