I  am  just  loving  to  watch  your  progress  because  I  am  looking  to  create  a  planted  tank  too.  How  long  has  it  taken  for  you  to  assemble  the  required  material.  I  read  in  some  other  forum  that  you  get  wonderful  material  at  the  outskirts  of  Chennai.  forgot  the  place  though.  Waiting  to  see  the  complete  set  up

Great  scape  yajur.  My  only  suggestions  are  to  remove  the  white  PEBBLES  and  to  move  the  rocks  closer  to  each  other  so  that  they  look  like  one  single  rock  or  maybe  a  few  large  rocks

Thats  a  whole  lot  of  progress  since  the  last  time  I  checked  this  thread...

But,  to  be  honest,  its  not  really  upto  the  mark  as  I  expected  it,  let  me  point  out  a  few  things.  You  may  or  may  not  consider  these,  but  felt  necessary  to  mention...

1-Overall  it  looks  too  busy,  the  major  downside  IMO.  for  something  to  be  pleasing  to  the  viewers  eye,  it  should  have  a  solid  appeal.  Here  too  many  rocks  giving  it  a  scattered,  unnatural  feel.
As  you  are  trying  something  sort  of  mountain  theme,  you  better  put  the  rocks  together(as  opposed  to  iwagumi  style),  close  to  each  as  naturally  as  you  can  and  forming  3-4  solid  blocks/hillocks  at  max.

Here  are  a  couple  of  examples...
 Link1
 Link2

2-Substrate  level...  you  got  to  get  this  correct(has  a  big  impact  on  overall  scape),  too  much  on  front  creates  unnecessary  black(or  negative)  spots  and  you  are  not  fully  utilizing  it  as  a  front  frame.  Keep  it  as  low  as  you  can  at  the  front.

3-Remove  those  grey  ADA  rocks,  not  working  out  there.  Instead  get  smaller  pieces  of  the  background  rocks  for  that  area.

 4-The  stream/river  in  the  midst.
I  know  its  going  to  be  changed  by  a  different  and  more  natural  sand,  but  try  getting  it  right  when  you  do  so.  One  abrupt  straight  patch  going  from  front  to  back  either  in  straight  or  diagonal  doesnt  looks  real.  It  should  have  uneven  edges,  starting  broader  at  front  and  getting  narrower  as  it  goes  towards  the  back  and  disappears  somewhere.

5-Very  wrong  selection  of  plants  and  fishes.
lillies,  crypts,  anubias  and  Sagittarius  are  too  big  for  the  scape,  they  are  simply  ruining  the  perspective,  no  mountain  scape  uses  such  a  selection.  Get  plants  as  small  as  you  can,  mostly  carpets  and  some  stems  to  blend  into  rocks  in  the  middle.

Same  rule  applies  for  fishes,  small  and  in  large  schools.  Discus  is  not  an  aquascapers  fish,  unless  you  have  a  gigantic  scape  with  good  depth  and  height.

I  know  many  people  fail  to  see  these  minor  details,  but  try  picking  out  good  scapes  that  top  in  international  competitions  and  observe  them  closely  for  a  while,  you  are  ought  to  notice  what  all  I  have  stated  above.
Its  high  time  guys,  we  want  some  serious  scapes  from  India.  Its  the  lil  extra  effort  that  counts  and  makes  a  great  scape.

I  am  glad  you  are  open  for  improvements.

One  more  sincere  suggestion,  dont  go  about  it  hurriedly.  Give  yourself  good  time,  I  am  asking  for  generic  changes,  not  very  specific  ones,  as  they  are  totally  upto  you.
Try  to  observe  good  scapes  carefully,  dont  copy,  but  learn  how  they  place  things  and  add  lil  detailing.  And  dont  hesitate  to  do  a  handful  different  changes  before  settling  with  one  final  scape.  Photograph  and  compare  at  each  stage.

Here  are  useful  links,  where  you  can  see  lots  of  scape  at  a  go...
 http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2010.cgi
 http://acuariorosa.com/2010/08/10/the-international-aquatic-plants-layout-contest-2010/

I  feel  that  your  scape  has  great  potential  and  spending  some  extra  time  on  hardscape  is  worthwhile,  as  this  is  the  basis  and  you  will  not  have  anything  to  regret  once  it  grows  out  to  its  full.

and  i  removed  the  plants  in  the  left  side  of  tank

and  added  2  extra  rock  in  left  side, and  final  image  look  like  this  and  still  in  search  for  carpet  plants

Hey  Yajur,  maybe  try  this  out...

red  are  things  to  be  removed  excess  of  substrate  at  front,  round  rocks  and  white  sand.
Blue  is  the  formation  of  rock  hardscape  at  back.
And  green  is  how  the  stream(or  river)  should  be  layed  out  using  the  ADA  sand  you  intend  to  buy.
