A  small  story  to  begin  with,  hope  you  guys  won’t  mind……

I  started  on  this  forum  with  a  buy  for  a  4ft  tank  and  wanted  to  make  it  a  planted  one,  got  a  good  deal  and  all  was  set  suddenly  there  was  a  voice  from  the  chief  "remember  the  school  fees  need  to  go  this  month"  phew  got  me  back  to  reality.  Okay  does  it  make  sense  to  invest  10K  to  get  a  tank  with  lights  and  plants...ya  it  does..."NO"  was  the  voice  again.

What  should  i  do  then,  desperately  want  to  make  a  planted  tank  and  see  how  it  goes  and  wanted  it  to  be  a  4ft  as  my  Severum’s  and  Bala  sharks  are  growing  big,  need  to  separate  them  from  my  other  molded  2ft  wife  favorite  furniture  matching  color  tank,  also   hate  the  day  when  she  went  to  LFS  and  got  all  the  multi-color  fishes  she  can  see  and  the  shop  keeper  as  a  good  sales  man  sold  her  whatever  she  asked  for.

Okay  back  to  the  main  part,  4ft  out,  took  all  the  address  from  you  guys  and  a  big  disappointment.  What  next…me  ..”dear  can  we  get  a  small  tank  and  make  it  planted??”  .  Sure  why  not  but  remember  the  Mollie  i  got  is  pregnant  what  can  we  do.  Hmm  after  2  beers  humanity  took  its  toll…  i  have  to  save  the  FRYS.   Voice  again  “Good,   i  spoke  to  the  aquarium  guy  he  has  made  a  Nano  tank,  go  and  pick  it  up  after  office”.  All  is  planned  and  Beer  was  the  bait.  Nano  is  home,  just  in  time  to  remove  the  mother  Mollie  out  of  the  main  tank  and  keep  in  this...wolla  30  fry  the  same  night.  PM  is  super  happy  ...."See  i  told  you,  just  in  time"  ...I  realized  after  2  kids  and  fish  Google….  experience  do  speak.

After  1  week,  the  fry’s  are  growing  and  still  my  planted  dream  is  a  dream.  Can  i  make  a  planted  now  was  my  poor  soul's  voice.  Can  i  move  the  fry’s  to  another  tank.  Ting  Tong,  there  was  God  at  the  door,  I  don't  want  to  keep  the  fishes  any  more  do  you  want  the  fish  bowl??  Drooling  i  was  yes,  will  pay  for  that  ...na  its  fine  will  take  sugar  or  onions  some  time.

Wow  can  see  my  dream  for  a  planted  tank  coming  true,  searched  in  Hyd,  it  sucks  for  readily  available  plants,  got  some  plants  some  how.  Next  Substrate,  rocks  and  lights  (cost  of  drift  wood  is  next  to  gold).  No  Co2  as  wanted  to  make  it  low  tech  kinds.

Please  see  some  of  the  images  below  ,  started  at  10  pm  and  still  in  progress.....

One  question  to  the  learned  once  can  i  put  the  Mollies  Fry  in  these  planted  tank  as  i  am  not  liking  to  keep  them  in  the  bowl.

Also  if  anyone  wants  few  of  them  then  do  let  me  know,  no  courier  business  please.  Take  Away:  D

Trying  to  upload  the  images  but  giving  error...Mod  can  you  help.....

 Please  comment/advice/galli  all  allowed....

indeed  wrong  plants  for  a  nano  tank!if  this  is  your  1st  attempt  let  the  plants  grow,  try  to  observe  the  growth  of  the  plants.   meanwhile  gather  knowledge  what  all  plants  can  be  planted  in  a  nano  tank  whats  the  care  that  they  need!!  give  good  amount  of  light  and  do  regular  water  changes!  btw  do  you  stay  in  Hyderabad  ?
