Hi,
New setup of my planted tank which is a month & half old now.
A few pics from the beginning; still a long way to go... any suggestion appreciated.
Tank Specification -

Dimension - 42*18*18
Initial DIY CO2 for 2 weeks
No Fertilizer
Light - 1.7 WPG
Filtration - Top Filter
WC - 20-30% weekly
Flora -

lilaeopsis
Crypto
Red & Green Lily
Dwarf Sagittaria
Rotala
Spiral & Straight vallisneria
Cabomba
Java Moss
Broad leaf anubias nana
Narrow leaf Java Fern

2 Pleco & 1 Otocinclus (Added after 3 week)
Recently added (10 Native Panchax, 1 siamese betta, 3 Native algae eater(need ID), & 1albino algae eater) |

What is the substrate that your using, and what kind of lights??
Plant a few midground plants as the mid is looking empty (just a suggestion)  |

Even when using a substrate like ADA you will need to start dosing liquid ferts in the water column atleast on a weekly basis. Oh and reduce the lighting to 1 WPG. If DIY co2 is your only opton then keep it going forever instead of only 2 weeks. Best solution would be liquid CO2 if you dont want to invest in pressurised |

@Mortis - Could you tell me why you 've asked me to drop the lighting to 1WPG?
Gonna use fertz. soon & also gonna re-scape the entire setup waiting for few more bogwoods. |

He has told you to do so because you would attract algae if your lights are too high and your Co2 levels are inconsistent.
BTW, what fertz are on your mind DB? Looks like the bogwood man is searching for more bogwoods  |
