Thanks again nisha , for your links . meds i have been appling is working i guess because touchwood 1 is showing improvment it has started moving around fighting and chasing again but i guess i would keep the treatment on for few more days and hope for the best.

am sorry to say this but what you have is a weird flesh eating bacteria. very few fish have made alive. i personally wouldnt hold much hope.
make sure you remove the carbon media from your filters. |

hey i read your problem
it seems like a bacterial infection
i would prefer to use tetracyclin or Erythromycin .... good antibiotics , you get in any medical shop
temperatre at 30 ........ 1 tsp salt per gallon
daily 70 to 80 % WC
listen whatever infection it is , it is creating OPEN WOUND which alaways attracts secondary infections like fungus etc .... i would prefer some methyle blue just in case to stop fungus because fungus can eat up anything leaving bones |

That's good to hear. Make sure the one chasing isn't too aggressive and causing harm to the others. I hope they pull through.  |

hi second is really pulling through wounds are healing for the other one erosion of skin has stopped already but the cuts are still deep so expecting it will also pull through and as said earlier will like to continiue the same medication as changing of medication suddenly may create issues ...thanks guys for the suggestions ...
welll yesterday i pulled out one of the fish out then gave it a salt bath and then applied medicine (general aid) directly on the wounds .. and it appreared it helped him. so lets hope they recover soon. |

That's great! It's a relief to hear that its getting better! That means it must have been a bacterial infection only. It would be great to see pics of progress if you can get them without stressing the fish.  |

mycobacterium marinum can cause skin TB in humans especially if immunity is compromised, and its main reservoir is fish tank..
can refer to harrisons textbook of medicine,17th edition.
im a doctor as well, MBBS,MD(medicine).
no offence meant, and not to derail this topic....

| It does look better than before! I wonder if they try to scratch on the rocks in your setup and end up with injuries... Those rocks look rough. Just a thought, you should keep an eye out for that kind of behaviour. |

| hmmm i will keep a watch on them .and they dont seem to brush them selves on those rocks.i did some thing yesterday i took Mr. Dicks out ,placed in a water container high in salt concentration then took the antibiotics and applied it on its body all over and particularly on the wounds then created a solution of the antibiotics powder and poured it in its mouth it started jumping so placed it in water again and it started rolling round and round was not able to maitain its balance so placed my hand beneth it and then helped it to be erect and held it near the water surface for about 3 mins after that he was able to move on and after some time observed again was fine and this morning it looked much better it started to beg for food and also started running aroung .but 1 thing that i noticed yesterday night that around the wounds body was very soft it was like melting away so need to check on that today hope those wounds heal up soon . |

| i am thinking the same thing this look scratch..i think the main reason is itching problem with your fish..this cut get from any sharp rock.. keep eye on it..i think this maybe itch issue.. |

| no sir i m sure thats not ich no whhite grains on them and they dont scratch them selves to the rocks it was like ulcers forming on them and then bursting to form wounds and later those wounds expanded themselves and started to eat away the flesh but thanks to god and iAHNS that they have starte to recover |
