 Never  mind  I  am  a  work(less)  bloke  here...

 100W  X  18hrs  X  30days  X  Rs5  per  unit  /  1000  =  Rs  270  per  month.  Put  it  at  300  appx.
 Where  your  fan  would  have  clocked  max  of  Rs  27-30  per  month-  except  that  you  need  to  do  extra  work  of  filling  up  the  evaporated  water.

 No  picS!!  Sad   ok  can  you  give  us  the  model  that  you  have  ordered  and  the  HOB  you  plan  to  use.

 Cheers!

 @Madan

 I  honestly  have  NO  clue  how  the  electricity  is  calculated.  I  was  tryin  to  figure  it  out  at  work  but  i  came  up  with  an  outrageous  figure  of  1000  rs  a  month.

 @sai  &  krash

 Will  upload  step  by  step  pics  once  i  get  the  parts  i  ordered.  The  parts  are  as  listed  below

    2  x  12V  TEC  Thermoelectric  Peltier  Plates.
     DC  12V  Digital  Temperature  Controller  Thermostat  C.
     Generic  heatsink  with  fan.
     Generic  alluminium  heatsink  to  act  as  the  coldsink.
     Dolphin  300-H  HOB.

 The  1st  two  items  are  the  ones  i  had  to  have  shipped.

 Zakk,

 One  more  thing  you  have  to  think  about  is  the  power  supply  for  the  peltiers.  They  draw  huge  amount  of  current  (amps).  Your  regular  12v  step  down  will  be  of  no  use.  And  make  sure  you  use  proper  rated  wires  for  all  connections.  These  draw  up  soo  much  of  current  that  smaller  wires  might  melt.

 Probably  one  of  the  reasons  for  most  TEC  based  projects  to  not  give  its  best  performance  is  because  of  not  so  good  power  supply.

 Also  could  you  PM  me  the  source  and  price  of  peltiers.

 @Deepak,

 I  see  your  point.  Wire's  shouldnt  be  an  issue.  I  have  my  silver  wires  left  over  from  my  car  rewiring  project  along  with  a  lotta  rated  12v  wire  laying  around.  When  you  say  that  the  12v  stepdown  wont  be  of  any  use,  what  exactly  do  you  mean?

 What  kind  of  power  supply  have  you  planned.  Usually  these  peltiers  are  rated  at  12v  drawing  8.5amps.  The  max  that  I  have  found  in  shops  is  12v  2amps  (i.e  power  supply).  You  need  a  power  supply  which  can  supply  that  amount  of  current.

 You  can  get  it  done  by  someone  or  you  can  use  a  decently  good  quality  computer  power  supply.  But  its  12v  rail  should  be  able  to  supply  ~10A.  Think  power  supply  might  be  your  most  expensive  part.
