 Hi  All,

Recently  got  few  Chinese  LED's  and  the  specification  said  its  giving  out  20000  Kelvin.

below  images  are  of  the  20000Kelvin  LED  and  6000  kelvin  LED

20000  Kelvin  white  LED  with  out  Len's

20000  Kelvin  white  LED  with  Len's

6000  to  6500  Kelvin  cool  white.

I  definitely  find  color  difference  when  I  compare  both  the  light's.

but  are  these  definitely  giving  out  20000  Kelvin?  Please  comment.

 Agree  with  Gatorx!  Agree

20k  means  intense  purple!!!!  and  not  blue  as  what  been  shown.  Surprised

Those  might  be  in  the  range  12-14k!  let  the  expert  comments!!!!

Its  harder  to  tell  from  a  camera  shot  and  due  to  difference  in  monitor  colours  etc  but  from  the  pics  I  would  say  it  is  in  between  10  &  15K

You  can't  really  judge  by  the  purple  color,  as  even  420nm  wavelength  produces  a  similar  color..

The  photo  was  taken  in  a  SLR  camera  (Cannon  EOS  550D).  I  think  i  might  need  to  take  the  snap  with  both  LED's  working  at  the  same  time.

I  know  there  is  a  difference  in  coloration  but  not  sure  if  its  20k...

 Anyways  it  doesn't  matter  much..

Since  your  DIY  this  project,  i  would  suggest  you  use  a  few  of  the  6500k,  some  of  the  20k  and  blues  to  get  a  good  color  spectrum...

They  should  work  fine,  so  don't  bother  much  with  the  kelvin  ratings...

Do  post  pics  once  you  have  completed  your  project..

Is  your  LED  driver  dimmable?  If  it  is  then  just  adjust  the  driver  to  get  the  desired  color,  if  not  change  the  ratio  of  blue  vs  white.
