 tank  dimension:  24  x  18  x  16  inch
plant:  bolbitis  heudelotti,  hemianthus  cuba,  hairgrass,  hydrocotyle  sibthiorpides,  rotala  R.
soil:  Ada  amazonia,  Ada  nile  sand.
 filter:  eheim  2213
 Co2:  pressurized  at  1.5  bps
 lights:  2  year  old  Plls  (2  x  36  watts)  +  3  year  old  18  watt  tube  :)

 hi  all.

this  is  my  Bolbitis  tank.  I  always  had  this  feeling  to  grow  them  wild  and  untamed  so  i  started  this  tank  (custom  made  just  for  the  bolbitis)  2  months  back  .  the  plants  has  grown  almost  double  inpast   25  days  and  i  am  expecting  it  will  overtake  the  tank  in  around  2-3  more  months.

i  do  not  trim  it  for  shape  etc,  but  i  do  trim  old  leaves  so  that  it  does  not  obstructs  light  so  the  new  ones  can  grow  healthy.

all  other  plants  were  put  because  during  planting  the  scape  looked  empty.  i  think  in  another  few  months  they  will  die  as  the  bolbitis  won't  allow  the  light  to  pass  to  the  surface.  (and  i  won't  regret  a  bit  about  it)

i  am  not  too  bothered  about  the  scape  except  that  if  my  current  woodscape  somehow  gets  too  covered  by  this  beautiful  fern  then  i  will  poke  in  few  more  driftwood  to  ensure  that  the  hardscape  shows  and  thus  maintains  a  structure.

above  all,  i  am  loving  to  see  this  beautiful  fern  grow  wildly.

p.s:  i  have  almost  grown  all  the  other  ferns  in  huge  amounts  in  the  past  few  years  which  included  all  type  of  java  ferns  and  by  huge  i  mean  real  untamed  growth.  Same  is  with  mosses  and  Hemianthus  Cuba  and  hairgrass.  i  have  grown  them  with  huge  success.

i  am  posting  this  to  ensure  that  people  know  how  to  grow  this  fern  as  i  have  seen  a  lot  of  people  tell  that  it  is  a  terrible  plant  to  grow  and  mostly  dies  or  stays  the  way  so  others  can  grow  this  beautiful  fern.  (actually  i  think  it  is  the  only  aquatic  fern  that  looks  like  a  fern).

 will  post  my  suggestions  later.

 have  a  nice  night.

also,  i  would  not  forget  to  mention  that  none  of  it  could  have  been  possible  without  the  help  and  encouragement  which  i  got  from  this  forum's  members.

Would  be  better  to  see  a  stalking  predator  in  that  bush  rather  than  the  herd  of  rasboras

 ps:  I  am  stupid  Chuckle

 Superb  growth  anyway!

Very  nice  growth  of  Bolbitis.  The  green  color  is  awesome.

You  could  have  planted  HC  at  the  front.  Once  the  Bolbitis  grows,  your  HC  would  not  be  visible.

 Muddassar,

Good  to  see  that  you  are  back  to  your  favorite  plant.  The  leaves  these  give  out  are  soo  beautiful.

thanks  for  sharing  it  with  me...i  too  did  not  have  any  difficulty  growing  this  fern....yes  the  flow  of  water  on  its  roots  is  probably  the  key.

looks  great,  If  you  have  a  few  smaller  stones  in  the  foreground  your  scape  will  have  more  depth.
