 Hi,

I  changed  about  30  -  40%  of  water  in  my  fairly  new  (1  month)  aquarium  a  couple  of  days  back  and  the  water  is  still  cloudy  and  doesn't  seem  to  clear  up.  I  have  done  about  4  water  changes  till  now  and  everytime  the  water  used  to  clear  up  within  24  hours.

Is  changing  water  after  a  rainy  day  a  bad  idea?  Any  help  is  really  appreciated.

 Thanks

Is  your  water  cloudy  when  it  comes  out  of  the  tap  or  it  becomes  so  after  you  add  it  to  the  tank?

As  a  matter  of  fact  it's  not  a  good  Idea  to  change  water  after  a  Rainy  day(unusual  seasonal),  unless  you  want  to  breed  the  fishes  Smile

 Regards,

As  a  matter  of  fact,  my  Boesemani  Rainbows  which  are  always  in  the  middle  area  of  the  aquarium  were  at  the  bottom  corner  of  the  tank.  Could  it  be  that  they  are  trying  to  breed?  :)

My  other  fish  in  the  tank  are  2  Madacascar  rainbows,  4  Neon  Rainbows,  4  congo  tetras,  2  Odessa  Barb,  and  2  ramirezis.

 Any  suggessions??

I  was  only  concerned  that  the  cloudy  water  doesn't  do  any  harm  to  the  fish.

Cloudy  water  will  not  harm  the  fish.  It  will  clear  up  in  a  few  days.  Does  it  have  a  whitish  look  or  does
 the  water  look  colored?

Hey  nowadays  even  I'm  facing  the  same  problem..  Its  mostly  because  of  the  increase  in  chlorine  content  of  the  tap  water..
