So  i  missed  my  old  GT  a  lot...  like  a  loooot!!     Sad   Sad   Crying or Very sad   Drinking

he  was  killed  by  my  damn  Yellow  Kenyi  Cichlid.  Poke   Whip

so  it  was  time  i  got  myself  a  new  GT,  and  here  it  is!

its  around   4-5  inches  maybe?  the  old  one  was  like  10  inches  or  more.   (with  the  tail)
the  old  one  i  had  lived  happily  with  a  pacu(x1  ,1  foot  long),oscar(x1  10-11  inches),tinfoilsx2  around  9  inches(and  some  texas  which  i  no  longer  have  thanks  to  kenyi  cichlidds  again)  in  my  6  footer..

so  when  i  can  shift  him  to  my  6  footer?  he  is  now  in  a  temperory  tank,  seems  to  be  a  some  kinda  darpok  GT  ,  gets  scared  if  go  near  it(unlike  my  old  one).
is  it  a  male  of  female?

 thanks  in  advance!  Rock On

Nice  colour  on  the  fins...I  had  a  beautiful  gt  pair..They  bred  in  my  tank,  but  because  of  the  lack  of  live  food,  i  could  not  make  the  fries  survive.
Your  GT  is  a  male  for  sure.Females  are  generally  smaller  and  lack  the  coloration  and  the  the  noticable  hump  which  the  males  develop  as  they  mature.

 Nice  green  terrors  there.

I  bought  couple  of  GT's  of  1  inch  and  below  is  the  pic  of  one  of  them.  Now  when  these  grow  up,  can  I  expect  the  same  fin  and  body  coloration  for  these?  or  these  are  some  other  verity  of  GT  which  do  not  get  color?

nice,  i  have  4  more  GT's  scattered  around  in  my  friends  places,  2  are  very  small,  and  1  is  around  3  inches,  and  other  like  a  around  11  inches.
small  ones  are  similar  your  GT  in  the  pic.
Nothing  like  that  about  the  color,  when  they  are  juvi's  they  dont  show  much  color,  and  adding  substrate  to  the  tank  gives  them  more  bright  color(preferebly  black,As  far  i  have  experienced)so  if  u  dont  have  substrate, try  adding.  GT's  come  in  white  saum, gold  saum,  and  maroon  saum,  the  band  of  colors  which  come  on  the  upper  fin  and  tail.  Cant  tell  which  is  yours  right  now,  feed  them  proper  food,do  regular  water  changes,  u  will  surely  get  a  GT  similar  to  one  which  i  had!
