We  need  to  know  which  strain  of  discus  you  possess?
And  whatever  strain  it  is,a  single  discus  is  definitely  a  sad  discus  no  matter  how  many  guppies  you  keep  with  it!

Agree  with  Aquarius,  i  also  think  you  have  a  sad  guy  in  your  tank.  Make  him  happy  get  more,  so  you  can  see  and  enjoy  its  colors.

 Regards,
 Rohit

Another  thing,  if  you  have  a  blue  based  discus,  it  won't  get  colour  with  Tetra-bits.

I  was  surprised  how  Swarnendu  and  Rohit  assumed  as  single  fish   Chuckle
those  guys  look  like  blue  turquoise  and  Omkar  they  are  too  small  to  get  colour,  discus  get  full  colouration  at  5inch  size.
some  fishes  looks  stressed  bare  bottom  is  best  way  to  raise  juvis
give  them  variety  of  foods  and  do  lots  of  water  change  this  way  they  will  grow  healthy.

These  are  SS  or  LSS  as  they  have  14  bars,  turq  has  9  bars  as  per  my  knowledge.  These  fishes  won't  become  colorful  as  they  are  pattern  based  fishes,  they  will  develop  good  blue  patterns  as  they  grow  more.  Say,  either  SS  or  spots.  Above  4-4.5  inches,  you  will  see  more  prominent  patterns.  But  the  base  colour  will  be  like  this  only,  Tetra-bits  won't  be  able  to  do  much  on  them.  Another  thing,  there  are  one  or  two  sick  fishes,  and  in  my  openion,  some  of  them  don't  look  like  happy  in  the  planted  tank,  and  you  may  not  get  their  full  potential.  Now  the  choice  is  yours.
Swarnendu  da  thought  the  number  as  single  because  you  said  "my  discus  has.....".  Anyways,  strain  means  whether  they  are  BD/  turq/  melon/  SS/  LSS/  Leopards  etc.  These  are  different  strains  of  discus.

how  do  you  know  that  the  fish  are  stressed  or  sick?  they  swim  in  the  plants  for  no  reason  many  times.  i  cant  keep  a  bare  bottom  tank,  so  i  had  to  keep  them  in  this  tank.  the  tank  dimentions  are  3'x1'6''x2'(lxbxh)
what  should  i  feed  other  than  tetra  bites?  are  live  blood  worms  a  better  option?  because  i  can  get  them  daily.
thank  u  all  but  still  need  your  help  and  advice

The  pic  no  1  4,  5,  6,  the  smaller  discus  is  not  looking  good.  Compare  the  fins,  body  shape,  eye  size  or  eye  to  body  ratio  or  health,  shape  of  the  fish  with  the  others.  And  you  can  also  see  the  good  discus  pictures  posted  by  experts  in  the  forum.  Then  you  will  understand,  what  are  the  differences  between  a  sick  fish  and  a  healthy  one.  Tetra-bits  is  a  good  food.  Don't  go  for  live  food  as  they  can  carry  parasites,  though  you  can  use  washed,  chopped  earthworms.  But  IMO  feed  tetra-bits  and  Hikari  discus  bio-gold.  Those  are  enough  to  get  good  results.  And  regarding  the  planted  setup,  its  your  choice

are  the  plant  causing  the  fish  to  be  stressed??
why  is  a  bare  bottom  tank  suggested  for  juvi  discus
thank  u  pravu  for  your  immediate  reply

Really   Shocked   are  you  worried  about  the  colour?  These  fish  appear  stunted.  That's  what  must  be  your  primary  concern.  Wait  for  experts  like  Shiva  sir,  yogesh,  abhida,  etc  to  guide  you.

At  first  glance,  these  are  stunned  discus's.

By  The  Way,  what  are  the  sources  and  the  approx  age  of  these  fishes?

As  per  my  understanding,  moderate  managed  along  with  healthy  food  will  produce:

   -  2  to  3  inches  in  4  months.
   -  4  to  5  inches  in  six  to  eight  months.
   -  Above  5  inches  in  9  to  12  months.

Healthy  food  along  with  daily  max  WC  will  produce  the  bigger  size  discus.

 Hope  this  will  help  you.

 Cheers,

Daily  water  change  is  the  key  for  a  good  healthy  and  growing  happy  discus.  And  in  planted  tank,  its  not  possible  to  change  water  everyday.  And  you  can't  make  the  bottom  clean  totally  as  there  are  gravels.  IMO,  its  not  confirmed  that  all  of  the  discuses  are  stunted.  There  are  2  weak  ones.  If  you  dose  nutrients  for  your  plants  to  grow,  those  can  also  be  stressful  to  your  discuses.  So  the  term  comes  bare  bottom,  I  hope  you  can  understand  now.
As  Kiran  sir  told,  these  fishes  can  be  taken  in  proper  track  with  moderate  managing  and  WC  and  good  feedings.
