 Cheering   Cheering   Cheering  A  dream  buy  today  evening.My  first  jaguar  cichlid(Parachromis  managuense).Any  info  about  its  feeding  and  possible  tank  mates  would  be  helpful   Very Happy

 these  guys  a  ferocious  ..
 
 But  i  think  you  will  enjoy  them.
 
 I  kept  a  jag  for  about  4  years  it  died  about  8  months  back  Sad  keep  them  separate  and  they  will  be  happy.

 I  had  seen  a  adult  jaguar  in  a  LFS  recently..
 They  look  super..
 Take  god  care  ...

 Feed  them  Hikari  -  Cichlid  Super/  Gold  or  any  good  Cichlid  food.  Don't  feed  live  food.
 I've  too  got  a  pair  of  them.  They  are  ferocious......

 Nandy  -  I  could  get  only  one  piece   Sad.  I  wanted  more  
 He  is  sharing  his  tank  with  some  ghost  shrimps     Chuckle  
 But  i  guess  he  is  a  bit  fussy  in  accepting  dried  stuff.Gave  him  some  pellets  yesterday  and  he  didnt  accept.
 Any  ideal  food  to  bring  out  his  true  colours   Very Happy

 nice  pick  up  bro  he  will  atain  good  size  so  be  prepared  to  get  a  bigger  tank  or  else  sell  it  i  did  the  same  mistake  and  got  2  in  67  gallon  and  found  they  always  tried  to  kill  each  other  so  best  of  luck  wid  tank  mates  can  be  anyother  cichlid  which  can  fend  for  them  selves  and  he  sure  is  a  jag  not  dovii  nah  very  rare  in  indian  market  i  have  been  searching  for  them  in  delhhi  for  2  years  and  never  got  lucky  ..and  what  to  feed  wel   you  already  have  feed  tready  for  him  ghost  shrimps  anyways  try  some  bloodworms  mine  used  to  like   them  very  much  and  dried  shrimps  too  and  try  till  mix  the  feeds  it  worked  for  me

 Thanks  Sumit.Does  the  colouration  of  these  guys  change  as  they  mature?  I  have  seen  beautiful  jaguars  with  spots  in  their  body.Not  sure  if  i  have  the  same  breed.He  sure  is  a  fussy  eater.Still  not  accepting  any  dried  stuff...

 yes  there  colours  do  vary  depending  on  the  geofraphical  regions  where  there  parents  are  caught  yours  would  get  a  violet  sheen  as  it  matures  i  will  post  mines  for  refrence  but  i  think  they  wont  get  that  spots  as  its  a  dufferent  species
