The  water  in  my  tank  is  suddenly  turning  murky  over  the  last  three  hours.  I  recently  introduced  a  carpet  anemone  a  week  ago  but  it  looks  fine.  None  of  the  live  stock  are  dead.

My  nitrate  levels  have  always  been  on  the  higher  side  around  100ppm.

What  could  be  the  reason  for  the  sudden  muskiness  of  the  water.

Yes,  I  know  its  on  the  higher  side  but  its  been  that  way  for  quite  some  time  and  the  fish  have  been  fine.  They  seem  to  have  adjusted  to  the  high  nitrate  levels.

I  have  a  feeling  that  the  new  carpet  anemone  could  be  excreting  stuff  but  its  only  a  guess  cause  i  haven't  seen  anything.

I  myself  am  actually  down  with  viral  fever  and  probably  don't  have  the  energy  to  go  for  a  water  change  now.

Is  the  bloom  dangerous  or  can  it  wait  for  a  couple  of  days??????

bacterial  bloom  wont  be  issue  but  keep  check  on  ammonia, also  bacteria  will  take  out  oxygen  qickly  from  tank  so  keep  the  water  more  airated.
keep  eye  on  your  anemone  also.
