I read user experience of cyanocrylate being successfully be used to repair broken snail shells on live snails (as long as the glue doesn't touch live tissue). So it should be safe for sticking moss onto stuff.

superglue is just the marketing brand name of the same chemical - cyanocrylate. So if feviquick has the same active ingredient then it'll do as well.
on a side thought, I wonder water are chances of the cyanocrylate compound molecules slowly breaking up in the water and join with a few stray pottasium mineral atoms to form pottasium cyanide. very little I guess
|
Are you sure it will produce KCN...
Omkar his process is acceptable...and good...Tonight will try one of this...
|
You wont get KCN packed in 5.Rs tubes . all you get is polymers of acrylic, no 'K' in feviquick. even if you try, its not possible to make KCN with feviqik. Try referring acrylic tank making in youtube for your satisfaction. Make sure the surface is dry or else the polymerization occurs before entering deep into the micro surfaces of the stone. |

Fevikwik will work, use a little of it, place the moss on it and wet the rock rock slightly.. Leave out of water for 5 mins and then place it in the tank... |

Not for moss but yeah you can definitely paste the thread with the help of mseal. i have done it in my past when i used to keep plants & more interestingly it is non toxic. |

@partha
buddy, i found this superglue in the big delhi sationary shop. it was made in america, but i didnt read what chemical they are made of. i think since these brand names are registered, there cannot be different kinds of Superglue. why dont u go to a big shop in hyderabad and ask them if it is there as well? |

if you have old nokia charger /any earphones / bsnl 2wire telephone cable. you will find almost invisible synthetic strands inside
red/green/blue ones are copper, white ones are some polymer material

1) Feviquick
2) Cyanoacrylate Glue
3) Mseal (Feviquick is an easier option)
4) Dental floss(provided its cheaper)
5) Superglue(if I find in a good shop in Hyderabad)
6) Reef underwater glue gel
Will try some of them except mseal in my small PICO and definitely will you know the result...
Thanks for your input... |
