You  can  try  the  T5HO  tubes.  Its  54Watts.  So  you  could  do  away  with  one  T5HO  or  two  T5HO.  As  far  as  LED  is  concerned,  you  can  go  for  lesser  number  of  LED's  since  its  not  a  planted  tank  and  you  can  use  led  light  only  to  illuminate  the  tank.

What  is  the  kelvin  rating  that  you  are  planning  to  put  for  the  tank?  Cool  white  or  Warm  white  color?

You  get  both  kelvin  ratings  in  T5HO  and  normal  T5  tubes.  You  can  decide  on  which  lighting  you  need  for  the  tank.  What  is  the  kind  of  hood  that  you  have  for  your  tank?

See  which  light  you  can  fix  in  the  hood  (if  any)  you  have  for  your  tank.  LED  is  also  a  best  option  that  you  can  have.  Even  though  if  the  initial  investment  would  be  higher  than  the  other  lighting  system,  it  would  really  help  out  in  long  run.  No  heating,  less  consumption,  long  lasting  etc.

So  its  your  decision  to  choose  which  light  you  need  based  on  the  other  parameters  (Hood  if  any  you  have  for  the  existing  setup)

 Plus  one  with  josyjames..
Depending  on  your  hood  design  you  can  go  for  any  bulb  in  the  6500k  CCT  (not  necessarily  HO)  at  2  watts  per  gallon  if  the  tank  is  in  dark  room,  reduce  wattage  if  the  room  has  good  light..  6-8  hrs  per  day,  reduce  this  if  you  get  direct  sunlight  in  morning  or  evening  on  the  tank..
like  plants  fishes  also  need  minimum  lighting  requirements  along  with  other  needs  to  keep  them  healthy  and  healthy  fishes  have  glow  of  their  own..  and  it  also  brings  out  good  colouring.
one  thing  to  consider  is  the  algae  issue  which  might  pop-up,  so  you  need  to  balance  the  lighting  with  water  management..  good  light  +  bad  water  =  algae..
 good  luck...

 Sorry  for  intruptting  ....
Do  we  really  need  2Wts  per  Gallon  for  Fish  only  tank.
I  guess  light  is  for  only  viewing  purpose.
Correct  me  if  I  am  wrong.
