 Hello  Folks,
I  had  visited  this  place  "Talakona(Chittor  District,  AP.  Near  to  tirupathi)",  and  found  it  a  great  place  to  watch  for  few  aquatic  plants.  It  came  as  a  surprise  to  me  to  see  these  plants  in  wild  and  natural  habitat.
Two  notable  plants  here  are  Java  moss  and  Pelia.

Both  are  in  emersed  state  and  thick  and  dense(contrary  to  long  and  lean  aquatic  plants  in  aquariums,  becoz  of  low  light).

There  is  a  lot  of  water  droplets  in  air  ,  due  to  falls.  The  photo  period  for  these  ¬†would  be  approx  4  hrs  as  they  are  on  hill  side  wally  structure  (11  to  3).

Though  i  am  a  moss  crazy  person,  some  how  i  could  not  pick  up  any  of  these  plants  after  watching  their  healthy  and  harmonious  life  in  their  natural  habitat.

Also  strongly  request  all  hobbyists,  those  who  visit  this  site  to  not  to  disturb  their  natural  habitat.  Its  more  enjoying  watching  them  growing  in  their  natural  world.

 Below  are  the  few  pics

Though  not  a  expert,  in  my  view:
 1.  We  get  the  plants  from  farms  ,  need  not  disturb  natural  ones
 2.  If  all  start  picking  plants  from  places,  gradually  the  area  will  be  come  dry
 3.  If  its  a  new  species  and  if  its  in  abundant  ¬†,  can  take  a  small(small  only)  amount  of  the  species  for  experimental  growing  (absoluitly  not  for  commercial)  provided  the  amount  taken  donot  disturb  the  natural  growth  of  plants  in  wild.

Usually  any  natural  habitat  is  because  of  hundreds  of  years  of  evolution  of  the  native  elements.  The  native  species  in  this  process  creates  a  balance  of  harmony  in  co-existince  with  other  species  around.
If  there  is  a  abnormal  activity  in  this  cycle  (either  new  species  introduction  or  breaking  the  balance  equation)  the  whole  echo  system  surrounding  may  get  damaged.

Let  all  live  happily  which  is  good  for  all  (including  us).  U  dont  know,  where  is  your  place  in  this  naturally  formed  ladder  ,  which  u  trying  to  de-link  in  some  place  ....

As  a  nature-aquarists,  we  should  be  aware  of  these.  Hope  that  the  info  is  useful.

your  points  are  the  most  important,  agreed  but  if  we  collect  will  not  they  grow  back,  because  we  have  seen  so  many  collection  trips  of  fishes  and  plants!!!!  hope  those  are  not  coming  under  these  points.
