 Hi  experts,

I  wonder  whether  chiller  keep  the  temperature  up  during  winter  season.

Lets  say  if  I  set  the  chiller  at  25  C,  and  in  winter  if  the  weather  goes  below  20  C,  then  can  I  expect  the  chiller  to  maintain  the  aquarium  temperature  at  25  C?

I  know  in  summer,  if  temperature  go  above  25  C,  chiller  will  help  in  bringing  down  the  temperature  to  25  C.

Let  me  know  your  expert  view

 Thanks
 Lakshmanan  AK

Most  chiller  are  meant  for  cooling  only  very  few  have  inbuilt  heaters  its  very  expensive.  Either  way  its  better  to  keep  heater  n  chiller  separate.

Keep  your  chiiler  lets  say  at  24  degrees  in  winter  and  thermostat/heater  at  22  If  your  aquarium  reaches  22  degrees  your  heater  starts  to  heat
If  your  aquarium  holds  steady  temp.at  23  neither  heater  nor  chiller  will  work  thus  saving  electricity/energy.
Anyways  I  keep  heater  and  chiller  on  24/7  in  my  hi-tech  aquarium.  I  have  a  Hailea  1/10  and  Aquael  75W  in  my  hi-tech  aquarium.

My  chiller  is  set  at  25  degrees  and  heater  at  24  so  when  the  temp.reaches  26  the  chiller  is  activated  now  its  spring  here  so  mostly  my  aquarium  needing  cooling.
