How  the  hell  would  increasing  CO2  help  to  make  the  tank  cooler  ?  A  chiller  is  very  useful  in  all  places  where  the  temperature  rises  very  high  as  most  of  out  tropical  fish  do  well  at  temperatures  below  28*C

Crystal  shrimps  need  chiller  during  summer  because  after  26  degrees  they'll  surely  fry.   Very Happy
Anyways  CO2  has  nothing  to  do  with  cooling  during  summer.  Depends  where  you  stay  in  summer  may  be  u  live  a  cooler  place  so  your  aquarium  doesn't  heat.
 Lucky  you.   Thumb Up

I  have  the  similar  problem  in  my  hi-tech  tank  so  bought  a  Hailea  chiller  150-A  HP  1/10  and  an  Eheim  external  powerhead.
Usually  hi-tech  plants  r  demanding  n  delicate  better  not  to  cross  26  degrees  if  you  dont  want  a  plant  soup.   Chuckle
