 Abhis,

That's  not  the  point.  This  Scape  was  made  in  order  to  participate  in  IAPLC  contest.  When  ever  you  participate  in  any  contest,  you  do  not  do  it  for  your  satisfaction.  Especially  if  you  are  bent  on  winning  it.  You  do  it  in  such  a  way  that  the  people  who  Judge  are  satisfied,  that  it  is  the  best  of  the  lot.

Only  then  will  you  be  able  to  win.  Now  some  people  with  mediocre  scape  might  have  used  extremely  professional  photography  to  showcase  their  tank  in  the  best  light.  And  in  doing  so  they  would  definitely  have  beaten  Sreeram's  scape  in  the  ranking.  So  a  lesson  learnt!

 Regards,

 Hi  Nayak,

 Thanks  for  your  comments.

I  think  at  first  we  are  hobbyist  may  be  in  different  area,  like-  Marine,  Discus,  Planted  tank,  Natives  etc  etc.

But  as  per  you,  we  are  all  the  hobbyist  doing  this  just  for  win  a  contest  only!!  No  I  don't  think  so  Nayak...  Until  unless  if  we  don't  have  any  passion  for  our  hobby  how  can  we  go  further  .......I  think  that  is  the  base  of  a  true  hobbyist.  After  that  we  can  think  about  for  the  IAPLC  contest  or  any  other......and  participate.

Until  unles  if  I  am  not  satisfied  then  how  can  I  satisfied  others  !!  (This  is  my  thought  process0

Reminds  me  of  the  Rabbit  and  Tortoise  story.  Why  did  you  go  to  sleep  sooo  near  the  finish  line?  Why  skimp  on  the  main  aspect  of  the  way  people  will  see  your  beautiful  scape,  Photography?

How  many  competitions  have  you  participated  in?  I  have  participated  in  ASK  fish  competitions.  But  there  I  did  not  take  my  favorite  fish.  I  took  my  best,  Fat'est,  Healthiest  and  Biggest  fish,  so  that  I  have  a  chance  to  win!  get  my  point?

A  competition  is  for  "Competing"  !  IAPLC  is  the  world's  largest,  no  compromises  can  be  made  !
Give  your  best  there  -  aquascape  and  photography  !

For  appreciation,  satisfaction  and  to  feel  good,  post  your  tank  pics  on  IAH  !

Exactly  Mr.  Madan...........Thanks  Thanks  a  lot.

But  your  sentence  is  not  complete  -  "Give  your  best  there  -  aquascape  and  photography  !  "

I  think  it  should  be  -  "Give  your  best  there  -  aquascape  and  photography  and  Photoshop"  ...Right  !

Because  we  have  to  upgrade  ourselves  with  technology  also.

The  cost  of  getting  your  tank  photographed  by  a  professional  was  about  40000  a  few  years  ago  !
Photography  costs  as  much  or  more  than  making  the  tank  !

That  is  the  kind  of  competition  you  are  up  against  wrt  photography  alone  at  the  IAPLC  if  you  want  to  get  to  the  top  !

Always  enter  the  best  in  every  respect  when  you  compete  in  the  IAPLC  !

fantastic  scape  ....Just  love  it  ...

And  I  think  I  read  somewhere   on  this  forum..  i  think  someone's  signature

"Modern  aquarist  is  incomplete  without  decent  camera  &  modern  photographer  is  incomplete  without  decent  Photoshop  aid"

That  will  actually  be  true  for  this  scape.

I  had  an  oppurtunity  to  see  this  tank  in  person.  The  best  planted  tank  that  I  have  seen  so  far..and  yes  I  have  seen  quite  a  few  of  them.  Awesome  work  Sreeram,  I  am  sure  your  scape  has  inspired  many  including  me.

 Keep  up  the  good  work.
