 Dear  friends,
Has  anyone  designed  a  full  round  aquarium.  For  rectangular  tanks  we  can  calculate  the  thickness  by  diiding  L/H,  but  for  round  tanks  what  would  be  the  length  ?
We  know  that  we  cannot  get  one  piece  bend  and  only  1/3  of  the  circumference  can  be  bent.  Any  information  on  bending  of  glass  ?
 What  about  bracing?
 Reguards,
 Bansal.

 Dear  Nash,
I  am  looking  for  a  bend  tank,  what  is  the  maximum  bend  they  do.  Have  you  got  any  bend  tank  done  from  them  are  they  manafacturers  of  bent  glass.  Or  are  you  advertizing  for  Albino  fisheries  on  shastri  road.  "fisheries"  do  they  deal  in  edible  fish.

 Hi  Jasmin,
Welcome  to  IAH...are  you  from  poona?Because  if  you  are  we  are  having  a  meet  at  my  place  tomorrow!
Well  it  depends  on  how  much  you  wanna  bend  the  glass...usually  you  can  have  a  completely  round  aquarium  too  so  that  should  give  you  a  fair  idea  as  to  how  much  is  bendable.
Ya  and  i  would  agree  imo  i  think  Albino  fisheries  is  the  only  guy  here  who  can  carry  out  this  job....And  iam  not  advertising  for  him  or  anything!
 cheers
 Hamza

Bansal,  Perimeter  is  the  length  around  a  shape.  The  length  around  a  circle  is  circumference

would  not  acrylic  be  better  for  a  round  aquarium?

Yes  it  would  because  it  can  be  bent  into  such  shapes  more  readily,  is  safer  in  the  case  of  tank  failure  and  scratches  can  be  buffed  out  using  a  small  kit,  unlike  glass.

Very  difficult  and  expensive  to  get  material  in  the  sizes  that  Bansal  is  looking  at.  Not  impossible.  but  difficult.  Anyway  Acrylic  will  be  suitable  only  if  it  is  a  FW  tank.  In  a  marine  tank  acrylic  can  get  scratched  a  lot  I  guess  due  to  calcareous  deposits.

I  worked  non-stop  for  48  hours  to  compose  and  fix  the  backdrop  that  was  made  in  a  set  of  7  pieces!  The  glass  thickness  and  the  rest  is  mathew's  baby  -  I  was  only  assigned  the  aquascaping.

Went  to  Inorbit  during  cricket  match  break  today  just  to  see  that  gigantic  fishtank.  Aquascaping  job  is  simply  awesome.  Spend  almost  half  an  hour  in  front  of  the  tank  watching  the  wonderful  site.

Managed  to  click  these  snaps  of  fishes  there.  Aplogize  for  the  poor  picture  quality  as  these  taken  from  mobile  phone  cam.

 Dear  Madan,
Have  you  come  across  cylindrical  tanks  in  one  piece  locally  manafacture?
Is  it  possible  to  bend  glass  more  than  1/3rd  to  1/2  of  the  circumference.
My  friend  Hamza  mentions  it  is  possible.  Can  you  give  some  information  on  bending  of  glass,  thickness,  max.  sizes.
 Reguards,
 Bansal
