hey  guys  I'm  on  a  trip  in  ootacamund  (ooty)  i  just  came  across  patches  of  star  moss  and  other  semi  aquatic  plants  in  a  stream  that  flows  through  the  resort  i  am  staying  in  so  bangalore  guys  who  need  star  moss  put  your  hands  up!.  and  then  i  would  be  happy  if  someone  gives  me  some  tips  in  transporting  it.  the  other  things  i  found  was  some  loaches  that  i  was  not  able  to  catch  and  other  colorless  fishes  .  i  was  surprised  to  find  them  at  water  temp.  under  15*c  .  and  I'm  sorry  I'm  not  able  to  upload  pics  as  I'm  on  a  mobile  connection  i  will  try  my  best  to  upload  some  snaps.

 Hi  Macster,
I  would  like  to  have  some  of  the  star  moss.  Packing  it  for  transport  is  simple,  Wrap  the  moss  in  some  news  papers  and  put  it  in  an  polythene  cover  and  make  the  cover  air  tight  so  that  they  don't  get  dried.  do  not  add  water  in  to  the  package,  as  the  water  will  be  thrashing  while  travelling  which  will  damage  the  moss..  have  a  nice  trip  and  enjoy..  Thumb Up

 Hi  John,

Pack  the  moss  in  wet  newspaper  and  put  it  in  a  plastic  bag  to  avoid  water  evaporation.
 They  should  be  fine.

I  have  sent  plants  all  over  india  in  a  similar  fashion  with  no  issues.

Send  some  pics  when  you  are  back,  we  too  could  take  some  Smile
