you  can  keep  your  barbs  away  from  that  tank  since  they  might  snip  off  the  budding  leaves  ,  i  had  tiger  barbs  and  they  sometimes  ate  off  half  of  the  budding  leaves  if  i  kept  them  hungry  ,  so  had  to  take  them  out  of  the  tank.

Also  ,  they  are  slow  growers(u  will  find  it  everywhere  in  internet)  BUT  in  my  experience  if  you  strategically  place  them  (  with  the  rhizome  out  of  soil  in  driftwood  and  roots  touching  and  ultimately  burying  into  the  soil  such  that  it  gets  daily  nutrients  ,  with  average  lighting  )   then  you  will  have  good  growth.  you  just  need  to  leave  it  undisturbed  (  no  movement  in  the  location)  .

I  am  getting  one  leaf  every   10  -  12  days  with  almost  all  of  my  anubias,  have  about  14  of  them  of  3  varieties.

 Regards
 Asif

 Percy,

Looks  like  this  is  Anubias  barteri  'Coffeefolia'.  Needs  a  bit  more  care  compared  to  regular  barteri.  Research  more  on  this.

@garothman:  That  is  not  a  good  stone  at  all  to  tie  your  anubias.
Use  a  rock  with  rough  texture.
It  will  be  better  if  you  tie  the  anubia  to  a  wood  piece  and  then  sink  the  wood  piece  along  with  he  anubia  by  tieing  it(wood)  to  a  rock,
If  you  are  still  going  to  use  a  rock, use  some  rock  which  is  thinner

Did  you  loose  the  leaf  from  where  the  thread  is  passing  through  the  place  where  it  is  attached  to  the  rizhome....Igf  yes  then  it  happens.
The  point  I  want  to  make  it  if  the  thread  you  are  tieing  is  forcing  the  leaf  to  some  other  posture  than  its  normal  posture  it  will  rot.
Also  sometimes,  when  you  had  tied  the  anubia;  the  leaf  would  have  got  damaged.  It  will  look  intact  as  anubia  leaf  even  if  it  is  out  of  the  rizhome  it  will  look  green  for  long  time  if  you  put  it  in  water.

Again  I  warn  you  to  change  the  stone  to  a  drift  wood  as  you  are  keeping  it  in  a  bare  bottom  tank.
for  drift  wood  to  tie  anubia  cut  a  piece  of  wood  from  any  hard  wood  tree(get  some  piece  from  the  dried  wood  .I  mean  to  say  firewood)  and  boil  it  for  2  hrs.
then  sink  it  in  water  using  a  stone  for  10  days(its  better  you  keep  them  for  ateast  3  weeks  but  since  you  need  them  urgently  we  can  let  the  tannin  enter  your  fish  tank  as  it  is  of  no  harm  to  fish).
 then  use  them

Thankyou  boss  Bow  ,  I  have  removed  the  stone  and  tied  it  to  a  wood  and  it  now  floating  in  my  tank  Sad  .  I''l  try  to  find  a  drift  wood  urgently.  Meanwhile,  I  have  seen  lots  of  roots  (hairlike)  coming  out  of  rhizome,  I  hope  its  ok.
