I have seen some discus in a nearby LFS, by that time i was not interested in buying now i am planning to keep discus fishes. Before buying i would like to know to how to choose a discus. I am planning to go for a 4x2x2 tank with 12nos of 2.5 inches discus.
What is Peppering? I noticed in lfs many discus are having peppering. Does it mean that we should not buy those fishes or in due course of time i will be disappeared when they settle in the tank. Throw some light on this please i am confused,
I am looking out for the following before choosing a discus
1. Fish is active or not
2. Fins not clamped
3. Asking the lfs guy to feed some food
Anything else i need to add. Experts comments please
Also suggest me a good long lasting reliable heater (brand) to buy
