Ya  replace  it  with  a  sponge  filter  and  keep  small  fishes  first.  You  can  come  to  Crawford  market  south  mumbai,  its  10  min  from  CST  Station.  There  you  will  get  lots  of  stuff.

Or  go  to  Kurla  east-  only  proble  in  KURLA  is  that  all  the  LFS  people  are  very  busy  even  if  there  is  no  one  in  the  shop,  they  are  busy.  You  will  get  attitude  in  TONS  but  dont  mind,  use  your  good  mind  and  get  your  things  your  way  Chuckle

Sponge  filters  means  this  ones,  right

Anyways  am  going  to  Kurla  east  shop  tomorrow.  So  will  get  some  shopping  done  for  the  interiors.  No  plans  to  have  live  plants  as  of  now  though.
Btw,  the  seller  from  whom  I  got  this  RS  internal  filter  is  ready  to  give  me  a  replacement.  He  has  a  SOBO  filter  which  is  ~  400  lhs  and  has  a  spray  bar  attached.  So  back  of  the  mind  was  thinking  of  getting  it  replaced  with  this  &  additionally  getting  the  above  simple  sponge  filter  too.
Would  this  be  a  better  idea  you  think?

 Thanks.!

 Hi,  thanks  for  the  reply.
I  git  the  old  filter  replaces  with  low  power  one.  SOBO  WP320  F.  Its  approx  ~  500lph.  But  the  speed  is  certainly  slower  than  indicated.  It  also  has  an  optional  attachment  for  spray  pipe.  At  the  moment  havent  attachment  the  spray  pipe  and  its  open.
Is  the  oxygen  still  coming  in  as  there  is  slight  movement  on  surface.
is  it  suggested  to  get  an  additional  sponge/simple  filter  or  air  pump

This  is  the  one  i  got.  As  have  no  other  option  right  now

There  is  no  heavy  current  unlike  before  now  and  water  stays  much  calm  now.  Am  slight  concern  about  oxygen.
And  do  i  need  to  get  another  air  pump.  Please  guide  me  with  this

Yes  its  enough  for  oxygen.  BTW  whats  the  media  inside.  Can  we  see  the  sponge.  It  should  be  a  regular  sponge  which  will  help  build  a  bactaria  colony.  Feel  free  to  change  direction  of  water  if  you  notice  the  fishes  in  stress.

Hi  deepak,  thanks  for  te  reply.
The  filter  also  has  an  option  to  attach  a  small  spray  tube.  Please  fund  some  pics  of  the  sponge  inside  and  how  the  spray  behaves.  This  will  give  you  idea  to  guide  me  further  :)

Hah!  Thought  so  through  it  away.  Cheering
the  filter  media  should  be  similar  to  the  material  similar  to  the  sponge  filter  sponge.  So  replace  the  sponge.  Keep  the  old  one  to  clean  your  tank.
