Well,  spongebob..  there's  no  easy/artificial/DIY  method  to  make  one.
So,  just  buy  one  for  yourself    Very Happy
If  you  are  not  too  particular  about  the  real  stuff,  there  are  always  bog/driftwood  shaped  ornaments  available  with  most  of  the  LFS  -  maybe  you  could  try  one  of  those.

 All  the  best

Nothing  serious  with  it.......  making  the  drift  wood  weather  for  a  few  years  out  would  really  make  us  loose  interest  on  that  and  how  many  years  could  we  wait  for  that.........

I  didn't  mean  to  hurt  anyone,  if  I  had  I  am  sorry........

Rahul...  I  don't  know  how  you  took  my  word....  I  just  felt  it  humorous  to  collect  the  wood  and  let  it  weather  for  years.......  if  something  is  very  serious  on  that,  I  withdraw  it...  and  if  required  would  delete  the  post........

 Gokul,

When  i  was  in  coimbatore,  i  went  to  Kovai  coutrallam  and  picked  up  so  many  nice  pieces  of  driftwood.

You  could  give  it  a  shot  and  let  me  tell  you  its  worth  it.

Yup...  like  to  give  a  try........

Can't  add  another  driftwood  into  my  tank.........

I  mostly  love  the  sinking  driftwoods  than  the  one  we  have  to  tie  to  a  weight  to  make  it  sink.............   Very Happy

All  you  have  to  do  is..   choose  a  wood..  wash  it  clean..  boil  boil  and  boil  for  couple  of  hours..  this  would  start  leaving  some  dark  colour..  change  the  water..  wash  and  boil  boil  boil..  till  it  stop  leaving  colour..
Boiling  would  make  the  wood  drown  faster.  If  the  wood  doesn't  drown..  tie  a  stone  at  the  bottom  and  the  weight  would  sink  this  wood..  and  in  some  days..  remove  the  stone..  SIMPLE  Smile
have  made  couple  of  these  till  now..  even  after  lots  of  boiling..  the  wood  would  still  leave  colour  once  in  tank..  but  think  fishies  like  it  Smile

And  you  will  still  not  end  up  with  drift/bog  wood.

I  use  a  saw  in  summer  at  the  nearest  dam.  I  always  can  find  a  large  piece  of  wood  which  I  retrieve.  Then  I  use  wood  chisels  and  gouges  to  shape  it.  Good  picnic,  take  the  entire  family  and  dogs  along,  cook  our  meal,  long  baths  for  all,  and  return  imagining  what  shapes  to  give  to  the  retrieved  wood.

 Actually  Rahul  is  right,
I  remember  collecting  some  driftwood  from  my  treck  into  the  forest  and  they  still  are  floating  on  the  water  surface  in  my  ponds  even  after  intensive  boiling  (it  is  about  three  months  now)
It  really  was  a  sight  when  the  natives  watched  me  carry  pieces  of  wood  on  my  shoulders  back  to  the  car  -  they  thought  that  we  were  collecting  wood  for  making  a  fire  to  cook  food  and  started  wispering  to  one-another  as  I  loaded  the  wood  in  the  car  I  think  they  must  have  wondered  "if  this  bugger  can  afford  a  car  -  why  cant  he  afford  a  stove?"   Chuckle
