hey  friends  few  days  no  updates   Thumb Down   Thumb Down

soo  m  back  with  an  update   Clapping   Clapping

got  the  growth  in  the  plants,  but  my  patience  went  out  and  i  was  expecting  a  fast  growth  in  my  java  moss,  but  as  a  slow  grower  i  prefer  to  get  some  more  java  moss.  mean  while  a  friend  hobbyist  shared  me  plenty  of  moss  and  german  subwassertang  SmileSmile

was  bored  with  the  plain  ADA  substrate,  soo  added  golden  sand  to  give  a  bit  of  brightness  to  the  scape.

second  problem  was  the  river  stones,  as  the  stones  are  smooth  the  moss  didnt  stick  to  the  stone,  so  changed  it  to  lava  rocks  and  tied  the  moss  to  it.

my  RCS  enjoying  on  the  needle  leaf

 the  rilli  shrimp

Flame  moss,  getting  the  grip,  hope  so  it  grows  well

 the  harigrass

have  plenty  of  german   subwassertang  and  tied  the  few  to  the  lava  rock,  will  update  the  pics  tomorrow  SmileSmile

till  then  enjoy  my  small  tank,  please  feel  free  to  comment  and  suggestions  are  more  than  welcomed.....

Jaival  a  few  pointers  you  need  to  thin  out  the  moss  and  tie  it  for  it  to  grow  faster  and  better  if  it's  too  thick  the  moss  in  the  bottom  will  rot.  You  have  not  tied  it  tight  enough,  the  winds  of  thread  around  the  rock  needs  to  be  closer.  I  hope  the  sponge  filter  is  only  temporary,  though  you  are  using  Ada  none  of  the  plants  will  grow  fast  enough  and  more  importantly  it  looks  very  unsightly.   I  see  that  there  is  no  gap  between  your  light  hood  and  tank  which  will  increase  your  tank  temperature.  All  the  best

thanks  for  the  help  bro,  i  will  trim  the  moss  for  the  faster  growth.

will  tie  it  properly  as  you  said  Smile:)

this  is  the  only  hood  available  in  the  LFS  around  i  have  tried  searching  it,  i  know  that  the  water  temperature  will  hike  up.  Me  and  my  friend  are  working  on  DIY  chiller  will  fix  this  up  if  the  things  work.  else  will  drill  a  hole  in  the  hood  and  fix  a  fan  in  there  SmileSmile

it  has  been  quite  long  and  this  tank  was  torn  down  long  back  and  was  bit  unattended,  there  were  few  amano  shrimps  in  it  along  with  few  ottos,  lone  female  guppy,  few  anubias,  big  chunk  of  subwerstang  and  just  golden  sand  and  a  small  driftwood.  no  dosing  and  one  a  blue  moon  20-30%  waterchange

today  afternoon  was  a  change  and  no  clients  to  attend  and  nothing  to  work  on  my  marine.  so  removed  everything  from  this  tank,  transfered  live  stock  to  my  4  feeter  and  threw  away  mix  of  sand  and  ADA,  gave  this  tank  an  acid  bath.  the  tank  is  now  new  with  no  stains.

so  my  plans  for  this  tank  is  to  make  it  a  shrimp  heaven  again,  with  the  winters  approaching  i  ll  be  able  to  maintain  the  temperature.

 currently  the  stuff  i  have

 1)  clean  18X9X12  7.5  gallon  tank
 2)  nice  branchy  driftwood
 3)  lava  rocks  enough  to  scape  this  tank
 4)  small  filter  rated  for  this  tank

decisions  to  be  made  with  your  suggestions
 1)  want  to  make  moss  only  tank
option  of  mosses  subwerstang,  flame  moss,  christmas  moss  (have  subwerstang,  soo  if  go  for  a  tree  scape  ll  use  those)
 2)  which  invert  to  go  for  ??
option  of  CRS,  Red  rili  or  blue  rili,  hi-quality  fire  red  (best  source  to  get  these  from  ??  )
 3)  which  substrate  to  chose  ??

got  the  ADA  and  dumped  it  into  tank

tried  my  hands  on  few  of  the  hardscapes,  now  my  job  is  over.  and  your  job  of  suggestion  starts,  shoot

here  are  few  of  my  trials,  a  wooden  perch  is  still  left  to  get  the  thing  done,  ll  need  to  cut  a  driftwood  to  get  the  tree  effect.

 black  background  in  its  place

 hands  on  different  hardscapes

 please  experts  comment  and  critique......
