 Hi  all,
 wanted  to  know  whether  Betta's  help  controlling  the  snail  population?
 heard  they  feed  on  tiny  beings,  wanted  to  know  if  they  could  help  in  controlling  snail  population?

 Tell  us  which  snail  has  infested  your  tank.
 
 For  your  question  The  answer  is  ,No  (except  if  the  snail  is  tooooooo  small)Their  mouth  is  so  small  to  kill  snails  like  Malasian  trumpet  snails,Ramshorn  snails  and  all.
 They  also  wont  eat  much  and  you  cant  keep  more  than  one  in  a  tank.

 +1  jabba.  And  if  they  kill  any  medium  sized  snail  ..  then  it  will  rot  the  water.

 its  the  small  spiral  kind  of  snails,  i  thought  atleast  i  can  get  rid  of  the  babies  so  that  the  population  is  controlled,  i  just  cant  stand  the  sight  of  the  snails,  bro
 
 Where  can  i  get  assasin  snails?  i  stay  in  hebbal,  bangalore

 Jerin,  if  you  dont  have  planted  tank  or  shrimps  in  your  setup  you  can  choose  clown  loach  also.
 They  are  more  than  capable  of  taking  control  of  snails.
