 The fundaments of fish keeping, this topic must have been rolled over and over again an again.
Q1. When we have a fully running aquarium with perfect parameters, and say I am using a canister filter with a 2ft tank with just 2 goldies then:-
a. where is maximum OXYGEN found ?
b. is it in the canister
c. or the Tank's water surface?
d. is the bacteria colony higher in the tank or the filter? |

Hi Sandeep Raghuvanshi,
I am very much thankful for the Hand Book for Beginners. Strictly speaking, it is not only for Beginners, but also for all aquarium hobbyist.
The people having knowledge on the subject, should bring out like this, so that it will be helpful to others.
A Great Salute for you for releasing such article in IAH instead of making money by printing the same for business purpose.
All the Best. I pray the almight to give strength to make many articles like this. |

IAH is all about seamless sharing of information across board without any monetary angle.
When I entered in hobby I was like any other newbie, stuffed a 2 ft tank with nearly everything right from angels, goldfish pleco and sundry.
later on web forum like IAH and wetwebmedia came to my rescue. Apart from IAH, WWM is the aquarium site I visit on a regular basis.
I would encourage others to send me links to areas that are not covered above and I will incorporate them.
We should have one such post in every subforum that we have. |

+1 Sandeep. Can we have something like universal stickies (not sure if that term exists!  ) where the stickies appear at the head of all sub-forums? I guess it would be like the 'global announcements' part we have.
We could also have easy-to-find links to universally accepted great sites & personalities like the krib, aquarticles, APC, Tom Barr's website etc. I know that these are scattered all over IAH, but just a concise list of links would be great. I'm suggesting this because there are hundreds of sites & youtube videos of people who just do their own thing & put up on the net. These are not really tested or well researched and could mislead beginners. |
