Correct me if I am wrong - but to me they all look like dragon fly larvae, in different stages of their life...

@Nayak
Never seen water scorpions. But water spiders skimming the surface yes
@Deepak
Nah nothing much. Just an unofficial trip. Me, Percy, Sergio and Ryel. Water body in Chenna is dry. What we visited in November is now dry ! Wonder where the Orange Chromides are gone. The usual panchax killifish, rice fish, 1 single indian rasbora (by luck), 1 garra, shrimps in brackish water some of them one inch size, indian rainbow shrimps from fresh water, saw a small jelly fish in brackish water, deeper in a depleted fresh water body we saw a greenish-blue channa that was badly in death-bed stage injured above its eye on the head near the edge of the bank basking in the sun for heat. Lots of crabs under rocks too. Got some Utricularia aka bladderwort (the carnivorous plant) and some floating lillies and azolla carolina. I think by May it will be a barren sea of rocks in the water bodies that were deeper in the forest except the pond which would only get lower.
@pkattitude
I had a feeling they were all dragon fly in various stages from their appearance |

Not to forget, stray dogs, and some invisible snakes which would just jump down from a branch like in raiders of the lost ark movie.
Naaah nothing much, all dry dry some place we poured water from bottle to make it a puddle to see if some fish jumps in |
