 Congrats  Shanai,

First  thing  first.   Are  you  seriously  want  to  keep  the  fry?   Do  you  another  spare  tank?

If  you  are  serious,  then  few  things  you  should  do.

 1)  Leave  the  eggs  attached  to  the  PVC  tube.
 2)  If  you  have  a  spare  tank,  try  to  remove  the  other  angels  and  if  possible  other  fishes  too  from  the  tank.
 3)  I  am  not  sure  you  are  able  to  remove  the  PVC  tube  at  this  stage,  it  will  be  very  messy,  unless  you  are  an  experienced  breeder.
 4)  Pray  hard  and  hope  for  the  best,  that  the  eggs  wont  be  meals  by  other  inhabitants  in  the  tank  or  worst  still,  the  parents  themselves.
 5)  Still  if  you  wanna  save  the  eggs  and  see  the  wrigglers  for  your  own  excitement,  get  a  fine  non  rusty  wire  mesh  and  cover  the  PVC  tube  with  it.   Let  the  parents  fend  the  eggs  from  outside  the  wire  mesh.

My  suggestion  is  for  you  to  observe  whether  the  eggs  will  be  fertilised  or  not.   This  is  important  to  ascertain  the  fertility  of  both  the  parents.

Here's  a  photo  of  once  my  angels'  eggs  that  were  laid  at  a  PVC  tube.   I  removed  the  tube  and  put  it  on  an  inverted  2  litre  soda  drink  bottle.   Only  a  few  eggs  were  not  fertilised  but  the  rest  became  wrigglers  eventually.  Transfer  of  the  tube  from  the  aquarium  to  the  soda  was  done  in  split  seconds...  everything  was  prepared  before  hand.

The  setup  used  was  my  BBS  hatchery  and  air  circulation  was  supplied  from  the  air  tubing  which  was  inserted  from  the  bottle's  cover  at  the  bottom.

I  used  acriflavine  instead  of  methylene  blue.

 Good  luck.

 Shanai,

Congrats,  But  do  not  have  high  hopes.  The  first  time,  the  spawn  usually  fails.

Get  a  new  tank  and  move  this  pair  to  that  after  cycling  it.  Else  they  will  be  a  holy  terror   in  your  existing  aquarium.  The  rest  of  your  fishes  will  be  at  risk,  when  they  are  defending  their  spawn.  Remember,  they  are  CICHLIDS!

Were  these  the  same  Angels  that  Abhishek  wanted  to  give  away?

 Regards,

 @  Nayak  Ji..
I  already  dreamt  of  angel   babies  happily  playing  around  in  my  tank,  yesterday  night...High  hopes..I  know!!!  Crying or Very sad
Working  on  removing  the  canister  tube  and  transferring  the  eggs  into  a  small  nursery  tank,  along  with  the  pipe.
But  should  I  also  keep  the  mumma  papa  angels  with  them,  or  in  a  separate  tank?

 Shanai,

 Three  options.

 1)  catch  the  other  fishes  and  move  them.  The  resulting  commotion  will  threaten  the  parent  fishes  and  they  might  end  up  eating  their  own  eggs.
 2)  Catch  the  parents  and  move  them  along  with  their  eggs  to  another  aquarium.  They  might  get  disoriented  from  the  shifting,  reject  their  own  eggs  and  eat  it.
 3)  shift  only  the  eggs  to  another  aquarium,  keep  a  air  stone  under  them  and  hope  for  the  best.  The  third  option  appears  to  be  the  best  chance  for  you  having  some  Fry  to  watch  playing  around.  Very Happy

Remember,  they  are  inexperienced  parents.  The  viability   these  eggs  producing  fry  is  minimum.  Even  the  male  learns  over  a  period  of  spawn  on  how  to  fertilise  the  eggs.  Since  they  have  paired,  they  are  gong  to  be  aggressive  to  the  other  inmates.
First  chance  you  get,  move  the  pair  into  another  aquarium  of  size  2*1.5*1.5ft.  Plant  densly  with  Vallisneria.  Good  filtration,  live  feed  and  a  optional  heater  will  make  them  breed  like  Rabbits.  You  will  have  trouble  getting  rid  of  the  baby  Angels,  there  will  be  so  many  of  them  Very Happy

Heard  poor  Abhishek  was  on  maternity  leave.  I  had  taken  one  for  my  Whiptail  spawn  Chuckle

Best  of  luck  and  finger  crossed,

 Regards,

 Shanai,

Once  you  removed  the  eggs  from  the  original  site,  the  likely  hood  of  the  parents  to  take  care  of  the  eggs  will  be  very  remote.

Artificial  raising  of  the  wrigglers  will  be  the  answer.

However,  like  rasikanayak   commented,  "the  first  time,  the  spawn  usually  fails,"  nevertheless,  no  harm  in  trying.   Fail  this  round,  another  few  weeks  they  will  spawn  again.   But  this  time,  do  prepare  for  the  2nd  batch.

Again,  good  luck  and  enjoy  breeding  the  angels.

 Nayak  ji...you  are  my  saviour...
Agreed...the  third  option  will  be  the  best  at  this  moment...  Abhishek  is  working  on  removing  the  canister  (he  actually  did  not  want  to  bring  the  babies  on  this  earth     Sad  how  rutheless   Shocked

And  yes...we  both  are  on  maternity  leaves  today  Thumb Up

Saw  an  excellent  example  of  motherhood  in  fishes...
while  trying  to  remove  the  canister  pipe  abhishek  couldn't  avoid  putting  his  hand  inside  water...The  angel  mother  continuously  was  attacking  trying  to  guard  her  eggs.
She  ate  few  in  haste,  few  dropped  down  and  could  transfer  half  of  the  eggs  in  the  nursery  tank...
 Now  next  is  destiny!
