Ramdas,  yaar,  i  don't  need  water  wisteria  (hygrophila  diffiformis)  at  all,  i  need  water  sprite  (ceratopteris  cornuta  or  ceratopteris  siliquosa).  But  don't  worry,  some  delhi  guys  have  it  too  so  will  just  get  it  in  the  next  meeting....  Royston  has  given  u  some  Frogbit  for  me,  i  am  told,,  so  that  makes  one  token  plant   Chuckle  Plants  are  so  cool,  i  can  never  miss  the  opportunity  to  pester  friends  for  them!

Don't  send  the  vinegar  eels  yet,  wait  to  get  the  all-important  Kombucha  Mushroom.  Shall  message  Vipin  for  hte  mealworms  now.

 The  Kombucha  Mushroom  donor  is

   Ritesh  Shah
 wadala  -west
 near  station,  mumbai
 400031  Mumbai
 Maharashtra
 India
 Tel.  91-9146078797

he  says  on  the  internatinal  kombucha  exchange  that:

I  give  off  Kombucha  babies,  finished  beverage,  advice  for  free  if  you  collect  from  my  home.  also  I  have  cure  for  Cancer,  Diabetes,  AIDS,  THyroid  and  other  chronic  ailments,  That's  also  for  Free.
 4all.ritesh  <at>  gmail.com

I  have  spoken  to  him  and  he  is  ready  to  give  a  mushroom  if  somone  goes  and  collects  it,  after  calling  him  to  confirm  he  is  at  home.

I  got  a  Kombucha  mushroom  today,  yipee...  Smile

The  vinegar  eel  culturei  got,  courtesy  Vyas  TK  of  Bangalore  and  Vishaal  Dalaal  of  Gurgaon,  does  not  show  any  vinegar  eels  as  of  now.

So  I  plan  to  just  just  grow  the  kombucha  mushroom,  make  kombucha  tea,  and  wait  for  the  vinegar  eels  to  appear  in  their  culture  bottle,  presuming  they  are  indeed  in  there.   Sad

If  you  are  in  Delhi,  are  a  serious  fish  lover,  understand  probiotic  drinks,  and  want  to  try  Kombucha  tea,  contact  me  for  a  scoby!

That's  glad  tidings,  Vishaal   Smile   Rock On

12  years  ago  my  mom  used  to  use  a  Kombucha  SCOBY  to  make  Kombucha  tea  for  herself,  even  sharing  it  with  friends.  She  got  it  from  a  lady  who  had  the  next  bed  in  a  Army  Hospital  ward  in  Military  Hospital,  Mathura,  who  was  using  it  to  speed  up  her  recovery  after  an  operation.  Mom  says  now  she  is  mystified  why  it  not  growing  as  fast  as  it  used  to,  she  used  to  have  to  throw  old  ones  out  frequently,  she  had  so  many.  If  it  does  not  pick  up  speed  as  it  warms  up  in  Delhi,  we  might  have  a  defective  mushroom...  Can  you  call  up  the  lady  donor  and  ask  her  how  quicky  her  mushroom  grows?  Also,  ask  her  if  she  needs  Milk  Kefir  or  Water  Kefir,  equally  good  probiotic  drinks  that  I  got  recently,  I  will  be  glad  to  give  here  those  if  she  is  interested  in  them.  If  that  happens,  she  might  agree  to  ask  for  a  fresh  mushroom  from  her  donor   Smile

Thanks  to  the  enterprising  Harsh  Makker,  and  my  old  friend,  the  very  thoughtful  and  generous  Deepak  Ganguly,  a  very  healthy  culture  of  Vinegar  Eels  was  obtained  this  Sunday.  After  two  cultures  that  had  crashed  before  they  reached  me  in  the  past;  this  one  has  been  placed  in  Kombucha  tea  the  very  same  day.  Progress  will  be  assiduously  monitored  and  reported.
