 @  Bhumin,

 You  cannot  differentiate  the  3  &  1  watts  LED's  since  both  the  led's  comes  in  the  same  package  type.  The  dimension  of  the  led  chip  would  be  more  or  less  the  same.  So  only  way  to  find  out  is  with  its  specification  or  after  lighting  up  the  led's.

 yes  Shelly,

 i  thought  so,  that's  y  i  attached  a  multimeter  to  DC  power  source  which  is  ~5.21v  &  light  up  a  LED.  multimeter  shows  me  reading  down  to  4.33v  &  this  is  about  1v  difference.

 so  does  this  prove  that  LEDs  are  1v.

 thanks.

 No,  it  doesnt  prove  anything  yet.

 Find  out  the  current  through  the  LED,  i.e.  you  need  to  connect  your  MM  in  series  with  LED  and  5.21V
 Multiply  that  current  with  4.33V  and  you  ll  get  the  watts  its  using

 1V  difference  is  just  something  else  unrelated  to  us  for  now.  Assume  your  powersupply  is  4.33V  only.

 Caution:  if  you  are  crossing  the  limits  of  drive  voltage(>3.5V  for  most  of  HP  LEDs)  you  may  burn  them.

 @Shelly
 yes..  its  definitely  3W  leds.  light  output  of  these  LED  is  gr8.

 @Saikumar,
 as  per  your  instruction  and  with  YouTube  help  i  have  checked  it  &  found  it  3w  led..  however  i  have  DC  adepter  with  adjustable  Voltage  output  of  1.5V-12V  ,  i  power  up  the  LED  with  1.5V  and  it  didnt  even  respond  as  soon  as  i  boost  it  to  3V  it  respond  with  good  light   Cheering  but  i  think  those  LEDs  are  giving  better  Lumens/output  with  3.5V.  Rock On

 @sripad
 one  of  my  relative  is  doing  business  of  importing  textile  machinery  parts/accessories,  he  often  visit  HK/China  ,  this  time  i  requested  him  to  do  shopping  for  my  LEDs.
 will  post  the  light  output  by  evening.

 thank  you  all  for  your  inputs  &  help.

 Fully  agree  with  saikumar.  Watt  rating  is  nothing  but  the  product  of  supplied  voltage  and  the  current  consumed  by  device  (LED).
