Scotch  brite  is  really  tough  to  work  with.  I  use  magnetic  algae  scrapper.  But  I  dont  bother  using  it  with  the  magnet.  I  use  the  brush  to  scrub  manually  from  inside  the  tank.  The  magnet  is  not  powerful  enough.

Abrasive  material  like  socthbrite  etc  will  scratch  the  glass.
Use  a  old  credit  card,  i  have  removed  every  type  of  stains  with  it.

 Hey  keluthi!
What  I  suggest  you  do  is,  take  off  that  background  picture  first.  Those  unsightly  air  bubbles  are  looking  terrible.  Then  post  a  picture  without  the  BG.  Maybe  that  would  give  us  a  better  idea  of  how  your  tank  actually  looks.  Those  air  bubbles  are  quite  a  distraction.

And  yes,  the  'old  credit  card  trick'  is  super  effective.  Scotch  Brite,  as  pointed  out  by  Sandeep,  can  be  too  abrasive.  Alternately,  you  can  also  use  a  razor  blade.  I  know  you're  thinking  scratches  due  to  the  sharp  blade,  but  you  can  get  by  with  some  tactful  scraping.  (you  can't  always  have  an  old  CC  handy!)  You  can  maybe  check  out  some  videos  on  youtube.  search  for  'how  to  clean  fish  tank'.

 Hi  keluthi,

I  agree  with  Athreyan.  The  razor  blade  is  my  last  option  when  nothing  is  working.  If  use  it  sensitively  (hold  the  razor  slightly  sideways)  it  will  clear  all.......
