Hi  guys,  first  let  me  introduce  myself.
I  am  from  Kolkata  and  have  been  a  hobbyist  for  no  more  than  4  years.
I  started  off  watching  my  Dad  take  care  of  his  tanks  full  of  angels  and  mollies.
Then,  a  friend  got  me  hooked  on  to  oscars.
I  was  visiting  his  place  and  i  saw  a  pair  of  Red  oscars  at  his  place.
From  that  moment  on,  i  was  in  love  with  them.

I  have  been  keeping  oscars  for  the  last  3-4  years  and  it  has  been  a  very  rewarding  experience.
The  power,  the  intelligence,  the  beauty.  In  my  opinion  its  willingness  to  interact  with  people  is  unparalleled  and  is  what  makes  them  so  attractive.

Even  though  thy  are  a  common  fish  in  the  hobby  and  an  easy  fish  to  keep,  the  experience  is  something  that  will  make  you  want  more.

Here  are  some  pictures  of  my  fish  and  my  tank.

 Hi  Oscar89,

Try  to  post  picture  in  IAH  directly.  Because  from  office  it's  not  possible  to  open  facebook.

It's  not  only  my  problem,  but  I  know  lot  of  people  face  the  same  like  me.

When  I  first  started  out,  the  Oscar  was  the  first  Cichlid  I  ever  kept...  Saw  one  in  a  LFS  with  a  broken  pane  of  glass  in  the  tank...  the  guy  said  the  fish  broke  the  pane  by  hitting  it  with  a  fairly  decent  sized  rock...  Can  still  picture  that  fish  in  my  mind...   I  had  kept  5  at  one  time  in  a  4'x1.5'x1.5'.   3  Tiger  and  2  Albino  tiger...

No  matter  which  fish  I  have  kept  since  then,  the  Oscar  was/is  the  standard  I  compare  them  to...  unfair,  I  know...
