 Hi,

Here  is  the  tank  with  hardscape  material.

And  the  hardscape  done...sorry,  I  wanted  to  take  photos  of  the  process,  but  it  all  happened  so  quickly  in  just  15mins,  I  realized  it  after  completing  the  work.
Even  I  am  surprised,  usually  I  used  to  take  a  whole  night  for  larger  tanks.

Heres  the  process  of  what  I  did  for  people  who  want  to  know...
1)Placed  2  base  rocks  to  elevate  rocks  behind(base  rocks  are  flat  blocks  hidden  under  substrate)
2)poured  some  sand  mixed  with  aquasoil
 3)arranged  the  hardscape  rocks
 4)  then  sprinked  a  bit  more  ADA  over  it  along  with  some  tiny  granular  pebbles,  to  give  it  a  natural  impression.

This  is  not  a  serious  tank,  I  probably  might  make  it  a  full  fledged  planted  tank  in  coming  months  but  not  now.
 The  reasons  are...
-I  got  quite  fond  of  poso  snails,  I  have  two(will  be  getting  more),  wanted  to  house  them  and  they  are  voracious  plant  eaters.
-Its  too  hot  and  I  dont  want  to  increasing  maintenance  that  follows  by  adding  plants.

 Tank  specs...
 size  -  15x12x12in
hardscape  -  there  are  two  types  of  rocks,  collected  from  a  stream.
substrate  -  sand  mixed  with  aquasoil
 filter  -  HOB
lights  -  5w  table  lamp  at  the  moment,  will  be  upgrading  to  a  compact  LED  floodlight  fixture.

Nice,  although  a  darker  substrate  for  contarst  with  the  rocks  would  have  made  it  stand  out  more

 Update  time!

This  is  when  my  3yr  old  nephew  decided  to  rescape  the  tank..

Later  I  tried  redoing  it,  but  couldnt  get  the  original  layout,  so  settled  down  with  this.

I  planted  a  few  potamageton  gayi,  hairgrass  and  indian  fern,  more  for  the  purpose  of  feeding  the  snails,  but  to  my  surprise  they  spared  all  plants  unlike  their  yellow  cousins.  And  these  plants  are  growing  under  a  5w  table  lamp.  So  once  summer  passes,  I  can  seriously  consider  planting  it  fully.

Now  let  me  introduce  you  to  the  inhabitants

 the  golden  spotted  sulawesi  snail

this  is  a  very  unusual  trumpet  snail,  that  was  collected  in  wild.  Very  good  burrower,  keeps  substrate  from  compaction  and  doesnt  multiplies  like  MTS.  It  pretty  much  is  of  the  same  size  as  MTS.

 some  RCS

 and  fishes
These  are  very  pretty  nano  fish  from  south  of  India

 Laubuca  dadiburjouri

This  is  another  tiny  fish  horadandia  atukorali  endimic  to  south  of  India.  maxes  out  under  3cm.  Proper  nano  fish.
FYI  the  algae  wafer  is  about  2cm  in  diameter

 some  more  HAs

And  some  feeding  frenzy  over  algae  wafer

I  hope  you  enjoyed  the  pictures..
