 Thank  you  Dears,
It  is  a  big  news  for  me,  this  is  the  third  fish  in  my  community  aquarium  which  could  breed,  The  first  was  Coridora,  the  second  was  Kribensis  (About  15  babies  survived),  and  now  the  Angles.

 Thanks  Sandeep,
But  from  last  some  time  I  tried  to  keep  my  plants  healthy,  these  instances  seem  to  be  byproducts.

All  biosystems  are  interrelated  if  plants  are  healthy,  your  fish  will  be  healthy.
A  well  balanced  tank  will  have  both  plants  and  fish  healthy.

The  spawn  were  eaten  by  the  parents  at  last.  Probably  have  less  space  than  it  is  required  or  they  were  disturbed  by  other  fish  of  community  tank.

 Hello  Members,

Did  not  start  a  new  theard  as  this  one  is  quite  recent.

Last  Monday  my  1&1/2  year  old  angel  pair  spawned  for  the  3rd  time.  First  2  spawns,  I  left  them  with  parents  but  all  eggs  got  eaten.
Now,  this  time  wish  to  artificially  raise  the  eggs.  Here  is  what  I  did:
 1. Moved  the  pair  in  80  ltrs  tank.
 2. Did  50%  WC  for  2  days  and  3rd  day  before  WC  there  were  eggs  on  a  slanting  glass  piece.
 3. Kept  the  eggs  with  parents  for  24  hrs,  and  50%  were  eaten
 4. Next  moved  the  remaining  eggs  attached  to  the  glass  in  a  7  ltr  plastic  container,  adding  Methylene  Blue  and  an  airstone.
 5. Bingo!  There  are  wrigglers  today  morning  …  after  ~  60  hrs
 6. Started  3  setup  for  infusoria  cultures  in  three  jars  (1  ltr):
               a. Banana  skin  in  aquarium  water
               b. Blanched  spinach  in  aquarium  water
               c. Blanched  potato  slices  in  aquarium  water.
Did  3  separate  cultures  because  don’t  know  which  will  yield  results.

Now  comes  the  hardest  part   Sad
 A. There  was  no  WC  after  eggs  were  moved  to  plastic  container.  When,  how,  what  amount  of  water  do  I  need  to  change?  I  started  aging  water  from  today  …  with  strong  airstone  bubbles.
 B. Once  they  are  free  swimmers,  will  it  be  fine  to  shift  them  to  another  tank.  Its  70  ltrs  and  it  has  around  100  apple  snail  babies  (4  months  old).  I  read  apple  snails  create  infusoria  (not  sure  though)
 C. Or  shall  I  move  them  after  removing  the  snails  and  cleaning  the  tank  and  its  filters.

Kindly  suggest  me  what  would  be  the  best  option.

Meanwhile  another  pair  is  preparing  for  spawn  …  but  I  would  leave  that  to  them.  Can’t  handle  that  many  babies   Chuckle

 Regards,
 Suman

Even  my  Angels  spawned  for  the  3rd  time  yesterday  at  about  3  O'clock  in  the  evening,  This  time  I  also  cut  the  Amazon  Sword  leaf  and  shifted  it  in  a  small  tank  of  the  same  temperature  after  25  Hrs  today  at  about  4  O'clock.  parents  were  very  uneasy  after  this  for  hours.

Today  I  could  observe  three  or  four  free  swimming  fry  of  Angels  in  my  aquarium,  In  between  I  could  see  One  wriggeler  on  a  leaf  or  on  the  rim  of  the  pot  or  the  stone,  I  mean  I  saw  it  changing  the  place!  is  it  possible  at  that  stage?
I  also  have  small  snails  in  my  aquarium  which  might  have  done  some  loss,  I  observed  them  eat  the  white  shells  of  the  eggs  that  remained  on  the  leaf.

 Wit  Regards

 Congrates  Ravinder.  Thumb Up

I  think  you  can  separate  the  free  swimming  fry.  But  not  the  wriggeler.

The  free  swimming  fry  servived  for  next  three  days  and  then  disappeared  for  some  unknown  reason,  probably  because  of  lack  of  food  appropriate  for  them.  They  were  too  small  to  be  photographed  because  I  do  not  have  a  macro  lense  at  my  disposal  these  days.  There  is  fifth  consecutive  egg  laying  of  the  Angels  (at  a  gap  of  each   11  to  12  days)  at  present  in  my  Aquarium,  But  I  am  helpless,  they  are  eaten  by  themselves  in  two  or  three  days.

 Ravinder
listen  to  this  45  min  audio  about  breeding  angelfish.
 http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/cichlids_neotropical/angel_fish_breeding.htm

 1)  if  your  not  moving  the  eggs,  the  chances  are  it  will  get  eaten  by  the  parents  is  more.
 2)  if  your  planning  to  move  the  eggs  you  should  do  whatever  the  parents  are  doing,  artificially.
3)provide  sufficient  air  movement  close  by  the  eggs  (  with  airstone,  gentle  not  strong),   make  sure  it  is  well  treated  water,  add  methylene  blue  to  avoid  fungal  growth,  have  a  established  sponge  filter,(  with  all  the  good  bacteria).  have  no  substrate,  artificial  decors  or  stones.
 4)  once  the  eggs  are  hatched.  make  sure  you  have  brine  shrimp  to  feed.  daily  water  change  upto  30-40%  clean  the  bottom  make  sure  no  food  is  left  over.  when  changing  the  water  make  sure  you  do  it  slowly  ie  make  the  new  water  drip  slowly  into  the  tank.  sudden  change  in  temp  or  water  quality  can  harm  the  fry.

if  you  have  time  go  through  these  videos  on  discuss  breeding.  it  is  much  similar(  cichlids)
 there  are  five  parts
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osjj2UFf6lk

sorry  about  the  spelling  and  grammar,  in  a  hurry.
