Is  there  any  way  to  oxygenate  tank  without  electricity  and  batteries  ?

Add  plants.  But  at  night  they  would  compete  with  the  fish  for  O2.

Keep  less  fish.  You  will  not  need  to  aerate  the  tank.

An  Aerator  is  only  required  if  the  bioload  is  high  and  if  you  have  no  other  water  movement  in  the  tank.

Fish  will  do  perfectly  fine  without  an  aerator  in  a  tank.

 Regards,
 Venkat

Thanks  Venkat,  yes  i  have  just  kept  2  molly  fries  (3  days  old)  in  them.  The  tank  is  fairly  huge  for  them  and  since  the  tank  is  circular,  it  has  a  very  large  surface  area  exposed  to  air!  So  i  guess  there  won't  be  any  problem  without  air  pump  as  per  your  advice.

The  reason  i  shifter  is,  my  molly  has  given  birth  to  about  30  fries,  and  my  tank  will  soon  be  overcrowded  unless  someone  takes  it  away  from  me.
I  had  posted  if  anyone  wanted  to  take  away  fries,  but  no  one  responded,  so  have  to  resort  to  alternative  methods  to  keep  them.

In  your  outdoor  tank,  leave  some  floating  plants  -  I  assume  the  tank  gets  some  sunlight  even  if  it  is  ambient  only.

Your  molly  will  keep  dropping  fry  every  month  so  this  is  not  a  permanent  solution.
What  other  fish  do  you  have  in  the  tank?

Easiest  solution  is  to  keep  some  fish  that  will  enjoy  tiny  fish  fry  for  breakfast  in  the  main  tank.  Very Happy
Most  will  be  eaten  and  a  few  will  survive  without  overloading  the  tank.

Other  option  is  to  keep  the  fry  in  tubs  outside  and  give  them  to  LFS  once  they  grow  a  little.

This  is  always  a  problem  with  common  livebearers  like  guppies,  swords  and  mollies.  Nobody  wants  the  fry  and  they  breed  prodigiously.

Keep  only  males  or  only  females  to  avod  this  problem  completely.

 Regards,
 Venkat

Floating  plants  ?  does  money  plant  come  in  that  category  ?
If  yes,  then  i  have.  (I  dont  have  any  other  plants)  I  have  been  looking  for  moss  for  my  main  tank  since  long  with  no  success.

Yes,  they  breed  like  crazy,  anyways  i  have  separated  male  from  female,  i  hope  this  resolves  breeding  headache.

I  am  not  sure  if  i  have  a  heart  to  make  the  fires  as  breakfast,  any  ways  i  dont  have  any  other  fish,  just  mollies  (dad  molly,  mom  molly  and  their  kids)

I  shall  wait  some  time  more,  if  any  hobbyist  wants  to  take  away  my  fishes,  other  wise  i  will  be  forced  to  release  them  in  a  nearby  pond.

Thanks  a  lot  Venkat  for  your  suggestions.

Releasing  aquarium  fish  into  local  water  bodies  is  highly  irresponsible  for  aquarists.  Far  better  to  have  them  becone  fish  food.

It  is  not  kind  to  the  fish,   neither  the  ones  you  are  releasing  or  the  natives  in  the  water  body.
It  only  helps  assuage  your  misplaced  feelings.

Money  plant  does  not  qualify  and  moss  will  not  survive  mumbai  summer  in  the  open.

Suggest  you  attend  the  MAM  and  pick  up  some  true  aquatic  plants  from  mubai  hobbyists  for  free.:thumb:

 Regards,
 Venkat

Ohh..  in  that  case,  i  will  follow  your  advice  and  either  try  giving  it  to  LFS  or  use  it  as  food  for  my  friends  chilid.

 Liberio

Come  to  the  MAM  and  bring  your  frys  too   Thumb Up
 Lots  of  takers

Id  like  to  keep  some  of  them.  I  hardly  buy  any  fish  so  all  my  live  bearers  who  produce  in  my  buckets  go  in  my  tanks.

Frys  help  me  keep  my  microworms  and  grindals  cultures  running  because  I  have  to  regularly  harvest  the  worms

I  hope  the  tank  is  deep  enough,  outdoor  sun  can  be  very  hot,  put  in  a  pot  with  sand  and  some  amazons,  you  will  not  need  anything
