Hi All,
i am planning for a new tank with the below specifications.
Hope the similar size tank could have been discussed in the forum [i m not able to find] . so please share me the link of the discussion if you aware of it.
or please share your comment.
it will be helpful for designing my tank.
Planned specification:
1. Height -> 3 feet
2. length -> 4 feet
3. width -> 1.5 feet. [cant keep 2 feet, space problem]
4. 12 mm glass
5. stand height -> 2 feet.
Actually my kids love to see the fishes. she is 1.5 year old. so i felt this height will be helpful for her.
Regards,
Senthilvel. |

Hi Senthil..
Are you planning to do it your self or order it from a shop..
But still do consider what Subrat has told, its very difficult to clean and maintain a tank of 3 feet height.. But not impossible. |

This is my personal opinion -
I am trying to move the tanks out of the house as I have a kid (2+ years). I would be paranoid having a 3 feet high tank with kids moving around. I would keep it less than 2ft. But this is just my opinion. |

Hi Senthilvel,
I didnt get your point on having a 3 feet tall tank for making it visible for kid .
Also are you planning for a fish only tank or please let us know what type of tank you will be aiming for.
Planted or fish only tank |

Height 3ft....huge
Instead you can increase the depth that too if space is adequate.
BTW as Jabba asked what fishes you intend to keep & setting up a planted or non planted tank? |

if you are beginner it will be difficult for you to maintain tank with height of 3 ft
but if you have past experience you can mange it
normally problem faced is to put décor and removing fish from such a tank...
but their is solution for everything....if its only fish tank, then go ahead....
best luck |
