Nidhi,  where  ddid  you  get  reflectors  from?

I  was  planning  to  do  something  similar  but  using  wooden  housing.  I  was  not  able  to  find  reflector  so  I  had  to  drop  plan.

Finally  I  got  readymade  ceiling  light  similar  to  image  below,  got  it  for  Rs.  550  with  36watt  local  pll  and  Philipps  elec  choke

I'm  not  using  this  now,  but  planning  to  use  in  my  cousin  sis's  tank.

 @  Janardhanam,
 Thanks..
 @  jjaaxx44,
The  reflector  I  used  comes  from  a  similar  lighting  unit  as  the  one  you  bought,  only  it  was  a  4  footer  T12  lighting  unit.
And  I  did  not  buy  it,  but  was  given  to  me  by  some  one..
You,  just  ask  in  the  very  shop,  from  whom  you  bought  the  36w  PLL  lighting  unit..  he  might  be  able  to  tell  where  you  can  get  reflectors  for  2  or  4  footer  units..

 Nidhi,

Everything  is  fine.  Excellent  job.  You  being  a  basically  electrical  guy  fantastic  job.

 One  quick  question  your  Ballast  has  3  input  points  ,  L  ,  E  ,  N

Mine  has  just  2  input  points.  Is  earthing  point  necessary

 Rgds

 @  Pradip,
 Thank  you..

 @  Krishna,
 Sir,  thank  you  very  much.
If  you  have  only  2  in  put  points,  then  its  only  for  the  L  &  N.  In  this  case  you  can  use  2  core  wires  or  just  use  2  wires  and  2  pin  plug.
 Is  earthing  point  necessary..?
Well,  I  am  yet  to  connect  a  3  pin  plug  in  my  fixture,  currently  its  running  on  2  pin  plug  with  the  earthing  wire  being  taped  off..
Guess  what?  I  get  shock  if  I  touch  the  fixture..  Chuckle
Point  is,  its  safer  if  you  buy  a  3  pin  plug  and  connect  the  L&N  in  to  the  Ballast  and  the  Earthing  in  to  the  fixture  body  directly.

They  are  available  for  T5  tubes  in  3  feet,  Not  sure  for  CFL  (PLL).  The  55w  PLL  is  only  21  inches  long  so  there  will  either  be  a  2  footer  or  4  footer  fixture  depending  on  how  they  have  placed  the  PLL's.  like  side  by  side  as  I  have  done  or  two  in  single  row..
