so  my  first  set  of  scapes  were  iwagumis,  iwagumis  in  a  house  easily  can  be  boring  after  a  period  of  three  months,  it  took  me  few  months  to  decide  what  to  make  next  and  to  gather  all  the  things  with  a  very  small  budget.

i  got  an  idea  of  a  type  of  canyon  bridge  sort  of  scape  from  seeing  a  book  on  natural  wonders.

so  i  started  making  it,  step  to  step,  here's  the  first  image  of  how  i  started:

i  used  old  contro  soil  and  stones  i  collected  from  near  my  house.  then  after  making  the  base  and  reinforcing  it  i  proceeded  to  the  next  step,  which  took  me  few  days  and  lot  of  reinforcements:

so  since  i  used  adhesives  to  keep  the  top  portion  of  the  structure  together,  i  had  to  run  a  leeching  cycle  for  about  ten  days.  this  is  how  it  looked  while  going  the  first  cycle:

so  after  removing  all  the  water  it  was  now  safe  to  add  plants,  this  scape  had  very  little  soil  for  plantation  space  so  i  had  to  do  a  DSM.
i  started  by  adding  a  native  liverwort  paste  and  peacock  moss  on  the  rocks.  then  added  HC  cuba  and  Japan  hairgrass  in  the  soil  pockets  (courtesy  to  Abhradip  and  SWA):

left  it  for  dsm  for  two  weeks,  lost  a  lot  of  the  HC  due  to  melt  and  had  to  plant  some  monte  carlo  instead.
so  after  flooding  it,  it  looks  like  this:

don't  ask  for  a  current  FTS,  because  you'll  have  to  wait  until  the  plants  have  fully  covered.  ;)

so  after  few  days  of  flooding,  the  native  liverwort  paste  disappeared  and  i  had  to  compensate  it  with  fissidens  fontanus,  crepidomanes  cf.  malabaricum  (thanks  to  my  friend  who  collected  some  for  me).

 keep  posted!  Smile
just  like  to  say  one  thing  now.
i  have  noticed  that  anyone  can  scape,  they  just  need  an  inspiration  and  the  material  to  scape  with.  its  that  simple!  you  don't  need  to  have  "imported"  or  expensive  stuff  to  scape.  use  what  you  got,  you  can  surely  make  something  nice  out  of  it!

i  learnt  it  the  hard  way,  but  now  scaping  is  something  i  love!i  sit  and  sketch  a  hardscape  everyday,  i  make  pico  and  nano  hardscapes  with  all  the  material  i  have  collected  from  my  trips.  this  is  what  makes  you  a  better  scaper!
 cheers!

The  best  effort  with  easily  available  materials.
(((you  don't  need  to  have  "imported"  or  expensive  stuff  to  scape.  use  what  you  got,  you  can  surely  make  something  nice  out  of  it!  )))
I  love  the  scape.   It  is  not  a  hardscape,  it  is  a  heartshape.     All  the  best.
 How  you  joined  the  stones.

 Well  conceptualized  and  brilliantly  executed.

The  white  sand  is  a  little  give  away...  Probably  you  would  cover  it  with  some  plants.

All  in  all  a  wonderful  scape.

 Regards,
 Surya

 thanks  all.

 just  a  small  update:
i  added  some  3-4  species  of  native  mosses,  will  post  pics  of  it  once  they  take  over.
japan  hairgrass  is  packing  in.  and  HC  is  slowly  covering  the  bridge,  here's  a  sneak  peek.
