Hey Experts!!!
After a long wait and reading and research I have now finally decided to make my own DIY setup of LED for my 1feeter tank made specially for testing of the DIY led setup.
During the research I read about CREE brand LED’s of XPG make ...but did not succeed to find them here in India hence decided to try my hands on a lot heard EDISON brand LED’s.
All your suggestions are valuable ...so please be free to give your advice and feedback.
I am really inspired by the works of Aquasky and our fellow hobbyist Shelly in terms of fabrication of the acrylic sheets and would love to do something like that for my DIY setup...
Kindly help me out with good reasonable acrylic fabricator in Mumbai if possible and also help with various deigns that can be opted for...
Following are the LEDS that have been brought :
1) 3w cool white 6500K (4Nos.)
2) 1w Neutral white 4500K (2Nos.)
3) 1w Warm white 2700K (2Nos.)
4) 1w Royal Red (2Nos.)
5) 1w Royal Blue (1Nos.)
Also necessary anodized aluminium extrusion sheet has been bought.
Thanks
Sunny |

Depends on the distance between your led setup and the tank water surface, if you keep it around 6 inches then you don't need optics. |

As Nidhi said, it depends on the height at which you place the led setup. If you are placing it on top of the tank, then go for the smallest degree optics that you can get. |

Hey Thanx!!!
@Nidhi ..thanx for the suggestion...
@Shelly...I am planning for 6 inch height of the setup from the tank ...will 40 or 45 degree lens suffice??? or need to put less degree of optics.. and also lemme know what type of dimmer can be used? is dim 4 (sunrise-sunset controller) available in India?
Thanks & Regards

Lesser the better.
Dim 4 controller is not available in India. You need to get it from US. |

Sunny you dont need optics in this case. If you must then 60 degrees will suffice |
