 Hi  all
Our  first  scape  of  the  year  and  its  a  low  tech  planted!!  The  clients  brief  when  we  took  up  this  tank  was  to  have  a  simple  tank  with  some  plants. Two  lovely  pieces  of  driftwood  some  river  stones  and  fine  white  sand  make  up  the  rest  of  the  decor.Plants  are  some  Annubias  Barteri,Annubias  Nana,Java  Fern  and  Windlov  fern.Filtration  is  via  an  Eheim  2012.The  fish  list  is  a  lovely  contrast  of  Neons,Black  Neons  and  Rummy  nose  tetras. Also  some  Ramarezis  to  give  it  a  bit  of  a  cichlid  kick  Ottos  and  corydorus  for  cleaning  duties.

and  a  picture  with  mood  lights

As  always  would  love  to  know  what  you  think  of  this  tank
 Regards
 Hamza

 It  looks  fantastic!

Just  a  question  though  -  how  would  you  hide  the  filtration  unit?  (Is  it  possible  to  camouflage  it  by  moving  the  ferns  to  the  left?)

The  overall  look  would  be  better  if  you  replaced  the  large  red/orange  river  stones  with  grey  ones  like  the  small  ones  you  have  scattered  about.  They  draw  the  eye  away  from  the  overall  layout

thank  you  all  for  the  kind  words  and  suggestions
Most  of  these  tetras  come  from  habitats  where  there  is  little  or  no  vegetation  and  from  blackwaters  (except  neons)
but  the  client  was  insisting  on  plants  so  we  decided  to  add  a  few.Should  not  be  a  problem  from  the  fish  point  of  view  as  most  of  these  are  kept  in  full  blown  planted  tanks!
