 Friends  i  have  12  neon  tetras,  1  silver  molly,  1clown  loach  ,  1  pleco
All  of  them  are  suffering  from  ich.  Clown  loach  has  it's  body  covered  with  ich.  It  is  doing  crazy  &  i  think  it  will  not  live  much  time  if  wouldn't  get  treatment.
I  had  given  epsum  bath  to  loach  &  moved  in  hospital  tank  with  heater  (  doing  manual  on/off)
Please  suggest  what  i  have   to  do  to  get  rid  of  Ich  completely.
Friends  please  reply  fast.  Your  few  suggestions  can  save  the  life  fish.

 Tank  specifications
 Substrate  :  Platinum  soil  9l
 CO2  :  Diy  co2
 Filter  :  Internal  filter
 Lights  :  36W  PLL.
Flora  :   windlov  java  fern,  crypt  balansae,  anubias  nana,  vals  nana  &  americana,  Sagittaria   Subalata,  Aquarose,  Ludwigia  reopens,  Bacopa  monnieri,
Rotala  rotundifolia  pink,  porto  velho,  &  spikey  moss  alongwith  small  anubias  on  driftwood.

Ick  has  to  treated  for  a  minimum  of  7-10  days.  Get  a  good  quality  ick  medicine  from  your  nearest  LFS.  Follow  the  instructions  on  the  bottle.
Do  not  try  raising  heat  etc,  it  only  stresses  the  fish  more.

 Thanks  sandeep.
But  specific  name  of  medicine  will  work  better  to  me  to  search.

okay  so  this  is  a  different  type  of  cure,  but  it  works...  aloe  vera.

Get  some  patanjali  aloe  vera  juice.  Dose  40-50ml  directly  in  the  water.  If  you  can  dump  it  directly  on  an  infected  fish  then  it's  better.

Aloe  vera  has  broad  spectrum  antimicrobial  properties.  You  can  check  out  medical  papers  online.

A  couple  of  weeks  back,  a  male  cherry  barb  in  my  tank  got  a  nasty  ich  infection.  After  a  week  its  condition  worsened.  It  only  hung  out  on  the  surface  in  one  corner   of  the  tank,  stopped  eating,  hardly  moved,  and  was  covered  in  white  spots.  So  I  went  ahead  and  dosed  40  ml  of  aloe  juice  directly  on  it.  Spots  started  to  reduce  from  the  next  day.  And  since  last  week  it's  completely  normal  and  active.  Can't  even  make  out  which  barb  had  got  the  infection.  So  yeah,  that's  my  solution.

 hello  guys,
i  dont  wanted  to  create  a  separate  forum  as  i  m  having  the  same  issue...  ok  i  tell  my  story  now...  my  fish  was  happy  without  stress,  enjoying  alot,  having  fun  in  the  planted  tank  playing  with  other  fishes,  mating,  playing  with  the  plants..

then  recently  i  took  guppies  from  my  friends  house  as  he  was  having  a  lot  and  i  foolishly  put  it  in  my  tank..  now  because  of  my  fault  i  saw  white  spots  in  2  to  3  fishes..  i  searched  internet  and  found  few  solution  and  a  lot  of  them  said  to  raise  the  heat,  so  i  did..  now  its  4th  day  with  30c  heat...

the  problem  is  10  of  my  12  of  my  fishes  have  died  within  this  3  days...  now  i  cant  figure  the  real  problem..  did  the  fish  die  because  of  the  ich  or  it  died  because  of  the  temp  raise  ....  now  i  m  planning  on  reducing  the  heat  slowly  so  i  kept  it  at  28c  now...  and  i  just  checked  that  my  room  temp  is  27c...

As  far  as  my  experience  goes...i  kept  the  heater  at  28-30c  for  10  days  and  the  white  spots  were  all  gone.  Did  30%  regular  water  changes  as  well  during  that  period.

I  haven't  seen  effectiveness  of  Rid  all  -  anti  itch.  According  to  me,  this  product  is  non  of  use.  Better  to  approach  the  pharmacy  &  buy  some  product.  Even  proper  dosing  of  rock  salt  along  with  regular  water  change  would  be  effective.
