This  sounds  like  a  ammonia  problem.  This  is  specially  amplified  by  the  fact  that  you  dont  have  afiltration  system.

Could  you  let  us  know  how  big  is  the  tank  and  whats  the  frequency  of  water  changes.  Its  the  lack  of  denitrifing  bacteria  that  could  be  causing  a  ammonia  build  up,  also  let  us  know  whats  your  water  source  and  where  are  you  put  up.
Would  recomend  you  put  a  filter  in  your  tank,  and  areate  the  water.

    Regards

Tank  Cycle  should  have  taken  care  most  of  problems,  Filter  might  also  be  a  source  of  problem.  Water  changes  and  its  frequency  could  also  be  another  issue.  Over  feeding  and  non  removal  of  residue  is  also  another  source  of  ammonia  buils  up.

To  De-oderise  the  system  in  a  non  planted  tank,  I  would  use  Activated  Carbon  if  the  problem  persists.  Also  this  would  remove  toxic's  out  of  water.

No  Filter  in  any  aquarium  is  a  strict  no-n
That  too  for  a  chichlid  who  has  good  diet.  Even  in  discus  tanks  where  people  do  daily  water  changes  there  are  sponge  filters.
The  importance  of  filter  cannot  be  over  emphasised.
Get  a  filter,  establish  nitrogen  cycle  and  your  problems  will  go  away  on  their  own.

You  have  to  give  more  details  if  you  want  useful  advice.  What  is  the  tank  volume,  what  sort  of  filtration,  do  you  have  a  substrate;  planted  or  not;  what  schedule  of  water  changes  do  you  follow;  do  you  monitor  water  parameters,  do  you  vaccum  the  substrate  to  remove  debris,  was  the  tank  properly  cycled  before  adding  fish,  could  overfeeding  be  occuring....  ?

Without  this  information  any  answer  would  be  incomplete.
 Regards
 Gopi

the  tank  is  1  1/2  ft.It  has  no  substrate.I  change  water  every  week  and  sumtimes  every  4  days. The  tank  was  cycled  properly.no  case  of  overfeeding  since  the  lone  green  terror  does  not  leave  nething  to  decay.I  mean  everything  is  eaten  within  10-15  minutes.

Ok.  Are  you  changing  very  large  amounts  of  water  each  time  ?  This  can  effect  your  biofilteration. You  dont  have  a  filter  or  substrate  so  whatever  few  nitrobacter  are  present  are  probably  being  depleted  every  time  you  do  a  large  change.  You  mentioned  in  your  first  post  that  you  "clean"  the  tank.  Can  you  specify  what  you  mean  by  that  ?  Because  if  you  are  actually  scrubbing  it  then  you  are  in  a  new  cycle  every  time.
I  suggest  you  get  some  established  filter  media  from  your  LFS  or  a  friend  with  a  mature  tank,  get  a  good  filter  and  start  again.

 Well
It  is  good  that  the  soap  has  not  killed  your  gt  and  yes  it  definitely  needs  a  filter.
Without  a  filter  you  will  never  have  good  bacteria  colony  in  a  bb  tank
