Man  this  this  bad.....recently  my  oscars  broke  my  tank  which  included  two  red  parrots,  two  green  terrors,  one  red  devil  and  all  of  them  died  sadly  as  I  was  not  at  home.

It  was  just  two  days  since  i  set  up  the  tank  and  was  out  of  town.

 HI  Raghav,
Suggestion:  Give  away  all  your  present  fish  in  this  tank.

Start  some  thing  with  small  fishes  like  livebearers.

Raghav  if  the  tank  Size  is  bigger  then  the  aggression  can  be  lesser.  Its  better  u  increase  the  size  of  your  tank  and  keep  them  or  better  not  mix  them  and  keep.

I  hate  to  be  a  contrarian.....but  potteypot,in  my  experience,in  a  small  tank  mentioned  above  the  fish  are  barely  surviving(aggression  is  rarely  on  the  mind  of  a  fish  who  feels  like  dead  meat)Quite  contrarily,in  a  larger  tank(with  low  stocking)the  above  fish  show  their  true  colors,so  to  speak, and  turn  into  true  savages  that  they  are.Once  they  develop  good  condition  they  begin  to  fight  for  territory  and  rank(if  they  are  not  doing  this, you  will  know  your  cichlids  are  not  upto  the  mark)I  have  a  5ftx2ftx2ft  tank  that  houses  8  nos.6  inch  oscars, and  four  texas  cichlids. They  all  behave  like  hooligans, frequently  missing  chunks  of  scales  on  their  flanks. If  you  really  want  to  manage  aggression  with  large  tanks, build  one  where  two  quarelling  fish  remain  out  of  sight(12  ft  length  plus??!!)

I  have  frequently  chastised  co-hobbyists  for  stocking  fish  like  raghav's  tank, only  to  have  one  of  my"properly"  stocked  oscars  killed, while  the  other  guy's  oscars  are  still  hanging  on(stunted  but  alive)....what  can  I  say?In  NO  TERMS  do  I  condone  small  tanks  for  large  fish. The  point  is  large  fish  like  oscars  ,GTs,red  devils  need  large  tanks  PLUS  anger  management  methods.

Stock  oscars  in  larger  tanks  with  larger  numbers(8  or  10....or  a  mated  pair)....or  add  dither  fish  eg.silver  dollars(size  that  dont  fit  in  an  oscar)or  tinfoil  barbs....dither  fish  should  be  fast  and  robust, and  should  take  some  of  the  anger  of  a  territorial  red  devil.Or  (not  prefered)  jam  in  as  many  aggressive  cichlids  as  your  filter  can  handle(this  is  a  magnified  version  of  Raghav's  present  tank)

simply  put, just  a  larger  tank  is  also  not  a  true  solution.
