It  all  depends  on  fish.  If  the  fish  has  beed  bred  locally,  then  I  dont  think  so  that  feeding  any  hump  booster  food  will  effect.
If  your  fish  is  imported  &  is  in  small  size,  then  start  feeding  him  with  OCEAN  FREE  Humpy  Head  &  Market  Prawns  Thumb Up  The  result  will  be  100%  good.  Very Happy

Some  specimen  just  never  grow  any  humps  no  matter  what!
Most  specimens  will  develop  a  hump  after  a  certain  age  (around  3-5  years).

Surprised   We  all  see  with  our  own  eyes  -  I  guess!
well,  the  FH  is  a  cross  between  two  fish  and  is  not  very  stable  genetically  esp.  if  bred  with  the  wrong  fish  or  interbred  for  a  long  time  so,  it  is  very  difficult  to  generalise  our  opinion  on  all  FHs.  I  will  agree  with  amod  in  my  opinion  it  takes  time  for  the  fish  to  display  the  nuchal  hump  which  happens  only  on  sexual  maturity  any  juveniles  showing  such  abnormal  growth  are  probably  not  desirable  as  they  are  juiced.

Market  prawns  are  the  best.  I  have  4  neaon  potos  -  one  golden  flowerhorn,  one  local  flowerhorn  and  one  imported  one.  I  feed  market  prawns  for  the  imported  one  and  the  golden  flowehorn.

The  rate  of  growth  and  the  nacuhal  hump  is  superb.

 Market  prawns  are  the  best.

Small  Q  here.  How  does  a  feed  like  Ching  Mix  or  any  such  feed  for  nuchal  hump  actually  work?  Is  that  any  hormone  play?
