 Trevor,

 Remember  me  too....
When  you  pounce  on  your  neighbor’s  Lobster  I  mean.

What  are  you  feeding  him  and  does  he  need  to  come  out  of  the  water  now  and  then?  Does  he  need  good  light  to  build  his  shell?

 Regards,
 Nayak.

 Trevor  Sir
Need  to  really  commend  you  on  the  photography,  man  the  lobster  looks  like  it  is  going  to  pop  out  of  the  computer.
 The  lobster  also  looks  awesome.
I  know  a  friend  who  is  feeding  them  live  Earthworms  and  they  seem  to  go  for  the  worms  with  gusto.

Here  you  can  see  all  eight  legs.
So  far  I  have  been  feeding  them  live  shrimp  and  live  tubifex  worms.  I  have  also  used  a  little  beef  heart  mix  and  a  few  shrimp  pellets.  They  are  known  to  eat  most  of  the  goodies  you  offer  them.

Very  nice  pics  Trevor!  I'm  enjoying  my  lobsters  thoroughly.  They  EAT!!!!!  So  far  they've  been  eating  live  earthworms,  live  breeders  that  are  in  the  tank,  the  dragonfly  larvae  and  tons  of  algae.  I've  also  fed  them  dead  fish  every  now  and  then.  The  big  ones  seem  to  go  much  better  for  things  that  move  a  bit  but  the  small  ones  will  take  anything  that  I  drop  in.  Have  even  fed  them  root  grubs  and  other  beetle  larvae.  I've  got  a  cricket  culture  going.  Will  see  if  they  enjoy  them  once  I've  bred  enough  of  the  bugs  and  will  send  some  over  to  you  if  it  works.

 Hi  Gerry,
Your  lobsters  are  sure  to  do  very  well  with  all  that  assorted  live  food.  Its  a  great  advantage  to  keep  them  outdoors  and  give  them  so  much  space.
These  guys  are  sure  to  grow  to  a  foot  in  short  while.
 All  the  best.

 Great  lobster!
The  other  day  I've  seen  a  small  around  2"  red  fresh  water  lobster  at  LFS.  Is  it  a  good  idea  to  keep  him  in  a  community  tank  with  Tetras  and  Rainbows?

I  do  not  think  it  is  a  great  idea  to  keep  them  in  a  community  tank.  Unless  you  have  a  tightly  fitted  top  cover.  These  guys  will  use  the  help  of  the  filter,  electrical  cables  and  air  line  tubes  to  climb  out  and  get  away.
Ideally  they  should  be  kept  in  a  few  inches  of  water  with  some  rocks  and  drift  wood  jutting  above  the  water  level  so  that  they  can  come  out  and  perch  on  them.  When  indoors  the  light  of  full  spectrum   bulb/tube  is  necessary  at  least  for  a  few  hours  to  aid  in  the  development  of  their  shell  and  for  them  to  moult.

My  closest  neighbor  with  lobsters  is  Gerry  Martin.  And  look  what  he  has  kept  in  the  outdoor  ring  that  now  houses  his  lobsters.  His  pet  water  snake  on  guard  24/7.
