guys having trouble with pellet food.
its a spirulina based food from some chinese company.. the problem is my fish dont eat it .. they swallow it but the pellet pops out again..
is the problem with the food or the fish ..the only fish doing fine are the convicts..
i have livebearers , convicts and oscars in different set ups..

Try soaking the pellets for a few minutes, then press them with your fingers, to form a small disc like shape, now this becomes sinking food, then feed your fish, this works well with my severum.
If this doesnt works try some other pellets.
Sometimes fishes prefer change in their diet, try feeding variety of foods; flakes, worms, shrimps, prawns,etc.

My fish too would spit out their pellets when the pellets were too large for them to swallow at one go. They would keep taking it in and spitting it out and every time the pellet became a little smaller till finally it disappeared in one big gulp.
Maybe thats what your fish are doing. Livebearers, tetras, rams ... I have seen all of them so this.
If your fish try to repeatedly peck the food then they like the food well enough.
