As  promised,  here  are  some  pics  of  my  setup.

It  probably  qualifies  as  a  fishroom  because  it  is  a  separate  room  (a  bathroom  actually)  and  it  has  fish  in  it  Wink  but  please  note  that  it  is  nowhere  near  as  sophisticated  as  Beta's  and  some  others  on  this  forum.

The  unusually  extreme  cold  spell  we  had  in  Mumbai  (8-9  degrees  C)  caused  some  fatalities  and  illness  among  my  warm  weather  loving  pets  so  there  has  been  some  rearrangement  and  some  chaos  prevails.  Some  tanks  have  been  moved  out  and  a  couple  are  empty  waiting  for  new  fish.

Nearly  everything  here  is  DIY  from  the  stands  to  the  wiring,  switchboards  and  lighting  and  also  a  couple  of  tanks.
I'm  currently  in  the  process  of  putting  in  a  WC  system.

 Enjoy...

 Regards,
 Venkat

Yep  -  Only  bettas  Very Happy
It  can  get  pretty  boring  if  you  don't  fancy  bettas.  I  do  have  a  couple  more  planted  tanks  without  fish  outside  the  fishroom.

Something  kept  coming  up  every  weekend  preventing  me  from  taking  the  pics.  I  decided  to  take  at  least  the  room  pics  and  then  keep  updating  the  thread.

I'll  update  with  pics  of  the  inhabitants  soon.

 Currently  keeping

 splendens
 -  White  opaque  deltas  (F2  +  F3  +  F4)
 -  Melano  crowns  (F0  +  F1)

 imbellis  -  F3  &  F4

 smaragdina  -  F0  +F1  +F2

 Prima   -   F3  (2  males  +  1   female)

Couple  of  tanks  have  been  freed  up  in  anticipation  of  new  fish  Very Happy

 Regards,
 Venkat

Nice  one  Venkat.  I  would  love  to  have  a  set  up  like  that.

I  hope  that  is  sooner  than  later,  though  i  have  had  some  people  landing  in  India  but  none  of  them  agreed  to  carry  fish.  So  hopefully  i  will  come  across  one  guy  who  agrees.  Very Happy

I  use  F0  to  represent  the  fish  that  I  got  in  hand  originally.  These  might  of  course  have  been  siblings
I  do  know  for  sure  that  the  imbellis  were  wild  caught  and  so  were  the  prima  when  I  got  them  so  the  chances  are  good  that  they  are  unrelated.

The  original  smaragdina  pair  were  definitely  unrelated.

The  original  deltas  are  most  probably  siblings  but  can't  be  sure  since  I  got  them  from  a  breeder  abroad  who  had  them  in  a  pond.  Anyway,  they  are  a  mish-mash  of  DT  and  Delta  as  their  fry  show.  They  look  real  cool  though  Very Happy

The  Crowns  are  the  offspring  of  a   male  melano  and  unrelated  delta  female  and  hopefully  the  fry  must  be  melano  genotype  -  hoping  to  get  a  couple  of  melano  in  the  next  generation.

 Regards,
 Venkat

 Thanks  folks!

@Nikhil:  Hope  you  find  that  "one  guy"  soon  Wink

@retro:  Any  particular  reason  you  asked  about  the  F0?

I'll  try  to  put  in  a  couple  of  pics  soon.  Considering  that  I'm  still  at  work,  its  not  likely  tonight  Wink

 Venkat

This  is  only  the  second  fishroom  I've  seen  with  a  phone  in  it,  and  the  first  one  had  a  few  thousand  gallons  worth  of  tanks,  so  definitely  in  rarefied  company!

The  reason  I  asked  about  the  F0  is  people  tend  to  think  of  it  (in  general  usage)  are  referring  to  wild  fish.  I  don't  want  people  going  around  asking  where  they  can  get  wild  caught  delta  tail  Very Happy

Rather  than  using  the  F0  designation,  it  is  better  to  refer  to  the  parental  generation  by  a  year  and/or  seller/source  designation.  Then  refer  to  successive  generations  as  F1  from  P(x)

Venkat  the  setup  amply  demonstrates  the  load  carrying  capabilities  of  the  slotted  angles. The  viewers  should  observe  this. Also  the  set  up  (stand)  can  be  rigged  up  to  suit  the  desired   requirements  on  the  spot  and  for  DIY  projects.

The  arrangements  are  nice  ,cool  and  easily  accessible  .

 Regards
