 Thanks  for  your  reply,  Aditya.

I  was  using  an  Aqua  L  (i  hope  i  got  the  name  right).  its  an  Italian  make.
its  been  with  me  for  about  a  year..

It  just  konked  off  this  week....  its  runs  for  a  few  minutes  ...  and  then  goes  dead..

just  than  an  Eheim  would  last  longer.....

Lets  see  if  i  get  any  info...  or  else  I  have  to  go  kolathur  and  figure  out
 whats  best  ...

If  its  AquaEL,  then  it  is  made  in  Poland  &  comes  with  2  year  guarantee.  Anyways,  we  can  offer  JUN  HX-4500  (2500  L/H)  power  head  for  your  skimmer.

 Hi  Ravi,

I  have  the  same  protein  skimmer  and  use  a  Dolphin  3000l/h  pump  with  great  results.  I  did  use  a  2000l/h  atman  pump  but  it  wasnt  as  effective.

 The  model  numberi  s  FP4500.

I  have  been  using  it  for  about  6  months  now  with  no  trouble.

Instead  of  Eheim  i  choose  this  one  cause  it  cost  1/4th  so  i  bought  an  extra  pump  and  kept  it  in  my  spare  stock.  I  usualy  like  to  keep  some  spareparts  which  are  bare  essential  as  a  konk  off  would  really  effect  the  water  quality  and  protein  skimmer  is  definitely  one  of  them.  You  could  consider  this  option.  However  any  pump  brand  you  may  choose  IMO  get  a  3000l/h.

If  you  are  looking  for  Eheim,  check  out  the  Universal  Series.

Eheim  1260  is  2400  liters  per  hour
Eheim  1262  is  3400  liters  per  hour

Advantages  are  ,  it  can  be  used  both  inside  and  outside  the  water  continuosly  and  low  electricity  consumption.

Comes  with  a  3  year  warranty,  and  needless  to  say,  Eheim  quality  is  surely  better  than  others.

PM  me  if  you  are  interested,  and  I  can  give  you  prices  and  other  details.  I  can  ship  it  too.
